LG 1 year warranty

TCL 3 year warranty

If LG don't think their TV will last more than 1 year, why would I?

Exactly my way of thinking

Maybe Panasonic ...

Had Samsung ... wouldn't buy again

Have LG ... not sure if I'd buy again, as has one failed line of pixels now, minimal, not really an issue ... yet

Saw the TCLs today in Home Pro and I see how they have the same sort of vivid neon presentation is there like Samsung/LG.

I still like Hisense as closest to Sony's colour profile - but they have some crappy OS that is not android native...maybe as they don't have solid software guys to prevent the android getting bricked by viruses causing TV returns etc.

Can you tone down the colours in TLC so they look realworld vs hypervivid magic mushrooms tones ? Like 'cinema mode' etc ?

75T6C looking pretty great for 14k...QLED as well.

Also, do they have a dead pixel thershold for replacement, and is that valid for the full 3 years ?

It really is best to see the TV model in action at local store if possible using your sample content on a memory stick. This is especially important if the content watched is mostly 1080p as 4k TV's needs to upscale it.

Example, my older LG 55" UHD TV upscales HD content using older processor and does a decent job. The same content on a Hisense 75" 4k TV with advanced processor is good but not as sharp as the LG.

Some people and rightfully so do not care as one TV is pretty much the same as the next to their eyes.

Re: Review on video of LG OLED TVs.

With OLEDs last decade, burn-in was a real risk. Newer panels now have much better protection, so it’s rare with normal use. Reviewers still mention it because it’s technically possible — but for most people it won’t happen.

After 5 years of using mine for 16 hours a day, it was still in perfect condition — no burn-in at all.

Thanks, something good to know, as my TV is my laptop monitor, so on 16 hrs a day, many of those idol.  Not sure what my LG is, as about 7 yrs old, I think.  Decent, except for that one minor 'line' which I didn't even notice, as the wife pointed it out.

That’s not what I meant by normal TV usage.
OLEDs are not really that good as laptop monitors, because static elements like borders, menu bars, and taskbars will eventually burn the screen over time. LED/LCD displays still can retain images, but they don’t suffer the same level of pixel wear, so they tolerate static UI elements much better.

The promotion 12:12 image shows when you view from a PC even if not logged in.

It is possible to get the promo price even if you are not using the Lazada app as you can often get the sale price via the Lazada website on a desktop browser.

You need to login after 8 and see what price you get from the PC.

Iam far from scared of tech.

I simply refuse to make any purchases or do any financial transactions on my phone.

Be aware that you might be faced with sold out in the morning. How these promos are setup gets revealed at the start time so there might or might not be a  fight.

Yes, I was thinking about putting one next to the dogs beds.

Only Samsung. Since I have a Samsung phone and tablet.

Hope this helps.

TCL, buy from Lazada or Shopee

Especially when they are on special offer. Very good value, and good picture.

Samsung TVs are OK, but you cannot install apk software on them. If Sammy doesn't have in his app store, you are 4..k...d

So you would buy an inferior telly just because you have their phone & tablet.

I must get a Samsung TV because I have one of their washing machines and vacuum cleaners!  5555
