Trump’s ‘Roadside Accident’ Remark on Landmines Sparks Anger

“Thais are now contemplating the implications of Trump's remarks, wondering if the US still respects Thailand as an equal partner in Southeast Asia. Such considerations stem not from animosity, but from disappointment and concern. The perception that Trump has solely listened to Cambodia's perspective, without sufficiently consulting Thailand, underscores the intricate nature of international diplomacy”

there isn’t any need to spend much time contemplating. Anyone who has paid even a small amount of attention to how Trump has treated allies around the world knows that he is out for whatever makes him look good and/ or makes him money.

Just my opinion

****Odd formatting removed.

Yes, reading the trump statement with citing trade and prosperous countries clears the view on trump's motivations.

No need to get angry, Stinkie's IQ is around 80 at best. Just ignore him.

So many media sources make nebulous statements and never quote their source. Sometimes it frustrates me because it's just a way to insert their own opinion without directly doing so.

Given the choice between believing Trump and believing Anutin, who are both notorious liars, I really don't know what to believe!

Trump is most likely to support the people sending him money, a golf course, a hotel, crypto, or some stupid trophy.  Thailand needs to figure out how to lay low while Trump remains in office, he is destroying all US international relationships, except with Russia.  He is the most corrupt and mean-spirited president in the history of the US, including Nixon.  His approval rating is barely 30%, his US support base is already jumping ship and the mid-term elections are still a year away.  Expecting that he reads intelligence briefings is as naive as reliance of the Tooth Fairy.  He would have difficulty finding Thailand on the map -- although Thai beauty pageants featuring young women may help him with directions.

Why doesn't Trump just mind his own bloody business.  The USA  is not the world's policeman. Those days are long gone.

It would help if the EU and the UK took on their fair share of responsibility.

It was an accident it was placed there, it was an accident it went off, it was an accident some one was walking nearby it was an accident someone stepped on it? What was the accident? Do roadside bombs appear by accident and explode accidentally, accidentally killing and injuring people?

Why should anyone be the world's policeman? Well, there's a whole litany of evil doers in the world and if the biggest superpower can't police the world, who can? The EU find it hard to agree among themselves and the UK was top of the year in the 18th and 19th centuries, but now... Not so much.

One thing you can guarantee about trump is his complete ignorance, and lack of interest, in anything apart from what crosses his dementia riddled mind concerning his completely distorted version of the reality he lives in. Throughout his life he’s always spouted BS to get the attention his narcissism so desperately craved. Now he’s president, nothings changed, he still feels obliged to comment on subjects he clearly has no comprehension of , but it does expose just how uneducated he is on a much bigger scale.

Don’t assume trump has the slightest idea about the situation other than what somebody told him, let alone understand it. He has demonstrated all his life genuine ignorance and how poorly uneducated is. He assumes that his position as president proves it. The truth is you can’t polish a turd, only put glitter on it. As he gets older his dementia riddled brain continues to struggle with reality. Instead he prefers his own mentally distorted fantasy of what a good job he’s doing in his role and how successful he is. He’s not, just a consistent loser who <deleted> up everything he gets involved in.

Why don't you type normally,

I simply type normally underneath a quote taken from a post. And it looks “normal” on my screen as I type it.

As to why it looks different after I submit the post, you would have to ask ASEANnow. It’s their site, their technology, not mine.

Thai F16 blowing up that casino was also an accident. Pilot accidentally pushed the trigger button while casino was in front of it. Case closed.

I heard no reports of any injuries at the roulette table though

Nothing to do with the UK.  and as many on here keep telling us   we are a burnt out colonial relic from the past who's days of greatness  are long since over.  oh yes and inhabited by only semi literate mouth breathing chavs.

We have no obligation to get involved in anything anymore, I am surprised you even dared to suggest it.

And as for Europe  why not send that awful Van der leyen woman over for a chat with Hun Sen  see how she gets on lol

Don’t reckon they are, dude. Yankeedoodledandy-land is still the big dog. Plus he’s after that elusive Nobel prize. 🤔

Agreed. Stay well away from Ukraine and any other country in a similar situation.

with the exception of winning the last election and sealing the previously porous southern border  for example?
