Do you think that will work? Back then it was not an option, and we socialized differently back then. Everything changed now everywhere.

I have a stockpile of books just waiting, and I will soon, but it is now a change of mind, rather than something you just picked up because you had nothing else to do.

Nope, but they should put a plaque of Harrisfan in the offices of Asean Now.

Another negative topic filled with criticism, name calling, and insults. If she is not attacking another member, then it is either Thailand or the public at large. Does the forum really need the constant trolling from someone who is clearly very unhappy with herself and has nothing enlightening or thought provoking to add to the conversation?

From what I read, almost everyone posting on AN appears to be unhappy with their life and their woman.

It's just me and @KhunLA that appear happy with our homes and our wives.

Over 40k posts? That's 34,000 more reasons you're unhappier than I am.

Or he's just very helpful when people actually have a real query.   Enjoys life, and sharing his experience and knowledge so other can enjoy theirs in retirement or visiting CM area.

I racked up 28k in a short time, as I used to reply to the trolls.  Broke that habit.   Had a username before, and only 19 post well over a decade of being a member.  Apparently have more 'down' time than in the past, or just fewer interesting members or threads.

If not for EV & solar, probably would have never joined again, as AN is as I remember TV to be.  When joined, didn't realize at first it was just a name change .... go figure :cheesy:

No @BritManToo You tell us that your woman cannot be trusted and you have to pay her a salary. That may be happiness to you, but Purgatory to others.

You don't have a home, your woman does...and you pay for it.

But with all that, I'm happy that you feel happy and comfortable with your lot. You've done a good thing helping to improve the lives of your family.

It's not everyone here who is unhappy :) Not sure about @KhunLA, he seems a bit obsessed with money and a bit oversensitive :wai:

That sums it up for me, and why I lasted 17 yrs in Udon Thani.   As soon as she was done High School, I was gone.   Played single parent for about 5 yrs, and ironing a pleated skirt every morning was a PIA, until I taught her to do it ... :coffee1:

She never took to washing dishes, so we ate out every day :cheesy:

I'm happy, visited a mall just 2 maybe 3 times, social media don't bother me and cook my own meals. The only thing that gets me is how dumb some people seem to be but that could be a matter of age.

Not obsessed, just learned how to appreciate & manage it, at an early age.   Now I don't even think about it, and haven't for decades.   I good place to be, as eliminates the financial stress most seem to have, and frees up brain cells for more enjoyable things.
