Seems some others needs to be personal, and we had this discussion before, where the only thing I have against pot smokers, is those who smokes in public like they think it legal, and do not disturbed everyone who do not smoke. Same goes for smoking cigarettes or dead drunk people at restaurants.

If you want to get dead drunk or wasted on substances you go where it belongs, or where you do not need to disturb everyone else.

That’s it! As said, Thailand have huge problems with tourists coming to Thailand and creates problems for others who just want to have a good holiday. If you want it to be something else, then its your problem not mine.

Same goes for Bday prang who do not smoke pot, why is he annoyed? Would be in his interest that this golden possibility to buy his edibles anywhere at anytime without any trouble or needed to register, but he takes it personally instead.

I never said I don't smoke I said I was not smoking

I don't take edibles  as I don't really enjoy

You have no idea where anybody on this forum chooses to smoke, I never smoke publicly,   it would be uncomfortable  after nearly 50 years of enforced clandestine smoking

"Thailand have huge problems with tourists coming to Thailand and creates problems for others who just want to have a good holiday"

Thailand has no "huge" problems and what  problems are caused for tourists.?

"If you want it to be something else, then its your problem not mine. "

It is clearly your problem one of many from what I can see

Oh, my have a good day sir. Continue with what you doing, you doing just fine.

@Hummin I don't take drugs and I have a partner from my own culture, who is my equal education-wise and earns her own money, as opposed to someone uneducated for whom I have to pay and provide.

Where is the 'mirror effect'?

It is your own bad mind playing tricks on you. Stop it. Be nice. You are the Troll here. Can you REALLY not see that? Go home...are you drunk?

None of the locals that I know will be particularly concerned about this, I think the only expats that will be affected are those that only started smoking relatively recently ie after the legalisation.

Obviously giving any info to the authorities is never ideal and simply walking into a shop is the best option of all

Not so. I've smoked dope for more than forty years and the last thing I want to do is show my passport or work permit to buy some dope. I'd imagine the online black market will burgeon even more just as the online vape market has and the smaller dope shops will go out of business.

well the last thing posted in the gazette about this back in June was pretty much ignored, but I agree, wait and see what happens,

which is more than can be said for many "normal" clinics

I noticed yesterday that at least 2 well established weed shops on Thong Lor have turned the key and today the shops were emmpty. So it's not being ignored.

If you so happy, why so hostile? It is just opinions, and I have no power to change whats happening in Thailand.

So calm down, enjoy your life with your wife or partner, or whatever it is, you are in charge of your own life, not me!

😄

You need to sort out your mental problems before it's too late. I'm not joking.

It is amazing how Thailand can't handle things... Cannabis shops must be clinics... In Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands cannabis shops are coffeeshops.. but there is a strict policy and law and a working policeforce.. Things that Thailand doesn't have

On 22nd December 2568, Dr. Thewan Thaneerat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, announced the cabinet's approval of a draft ministerial regulation. Passed on December 9th, the regulation requires cannabis shops to upgrade their operations to comply with new medicinal standards by January–February 2569. The goal is to elevate over ten thousand licensed cannabis shops into medical facilities or clinics that meet the Ministry of Public Health's approval.

This is Thailand and as we all know things change pretty rapidly. First off this is just a plan and has not been finalized at all. Then add to that it says it will come into effect in 13-15 months. You know we have elections coming in February. No worries on my end as the genie is out of the bottle and not going back.

Amazing to see Hummin start in again. I have never seen someone so anti anything. Works himself up into a tizzy all day long.

how are some people so pathetic and all they do is try to piss people off online?

why is there so many hopeless worthless old men on this forum

There must a 'Mr Big" that owns a large percentage of these shops. Does anyone know who owns the largest number of these shops? I would find it hard to believe there are ten thousand individual shop keepers.

I would guess there are some big players that have opened multiple shops but from what i saw when low THC growing was encouraged, was pretty much every man, woman and soi dog jumped all over the lax rules to open shops selling high THC weed hoping to make a fortune. Unfortunately for the new shop owners, everybody had the same idea and the market got flooded and competition was fierce.

Sorry. Struggling to keep up here. Are we at flip or flop?

Oh look a hoop , jump monkey. Oh look another hoop , jump monkey. Hey there is another hoop ,........ 🙈🫩

This amounts to a massive amount of treachery and betrayal on the part of the government, and an act of sabotage against the Thai people. Billions have been invested in dispensaries and shops with the presumption that the government would stick by its promises, and honor the legislation that was passed. Heads should roll over this, and the consequences should be enormous. This kind of betrayal on the part of the government should never be forgotten and the current administration should be held responsible, and its members punished.

Take it back to being illegal. It was cheaper to buy, if you didn't look like a tourist.

Sorry but what are you talking about. 5-20B a gram for premium bud online these days.

Good, Should have been more restricted from the beginning

I can't wait to see salesmen wearing white gowns covered in blood, face masks, and stethoscopes around their necks.

Looking ahead, implementation timeframes remain a concern for many operators. There could be transitional measures provided to allow businesses time to adapt before full enforcement. Stakeholders are advised to stay informed while the government finalises these changes, according to Khaosod Online.

Translation:  If and when new measures are ever actually finalized and if and when they are actually implemented and if and when they are ever actually enforced then  MAYBE something will change.  Way too many ifs and whens and maybes to get all excited or worried about.

In a major shake-up, Thailand's cannabis shops must now transform into fully-fledged clinics to continue operating. Despite existing licenses, all outlets need to reregister and must employ certified medical professionals onsite. This rule follows a new governmental decree aiming for stricter regulation to ensure cannabis is used solely for medical purposes

The weed shop around the corner from me might flout that regulation... the usual mob of young people that seem to frequent it all look quit healthy... apart from the habit
