Not so. I've smoked dope for more than forty years and the last thing I want to do is show my passport or work permit to buy some dope. I'd imagine the online black market will burgeon even more just as the online vape market has and the smaller dope shops will go out of business.

I would guess there are some big players that have opened multiple shops but from what i saw when low THC growing was encouraged, was pretty much every man, woman and soi dog jumped all over the lax rules to open shops selling high THC weed hoping to make a fortune. This amounts to a massive amount of treachery and betrayal on the part of the government, and an act of sabotage against the Thai people. Billions have been invested in dispensaries and shops with the presumption that the government would stick by its promises, and honor the legislation that was passed. Heads should roll over this, and the consequences should be enormous. This kind of betrayal on the part of the government should never be forgotten and the current administration should be held responsible, and its members punished. 

Take it back to being illegal. It was cheaper to buy, if you didn't look like a tourist.
