Sorry I didnt see that Phil. Anyway. if someone worry about the cost for letting this guy stay a few days and food, just give me your account info and i will cover the cost.  Im completely baffled that we are even having this thread for this long, maybe the pattaya guys didnt wake up yet so they are excused.

I appreciate your words. I understand but also I understand them. I am willing to meet anyone who wanna help. No problem for that. And is not even money I need: as I wrote many times just a floor with a roof to be safe. Thank you again for your effort.

A question: with two lines only in my passbook, do you think I can ask the bank to add some pages or they will go for a new one? This is also something I need to sort out before leaving. Thank you

Have you absolutely no friends who could help?

This is the kind of situation where you figure out who you can consider friends and who you can't. I've found much more empathy and solidarity among you "strangers" than among those who profess to be friends.

Lots of solutions and many of us could help you out if we choose to.  WHere in Pattaya and can you get over to the darkside where rooms are cheaper.  When is the first night you need a room?

I speak honestly about my situation and visa status, but seems noone wanna take the risk.

The only place I remember didn't ask me for passport was in Korat. They know me, cheap place and safe for my situation. My first idea was to go there for these days, but cannot afford. I gonna look more hostels here and dives hotels. And thank you again.

Maybe it's simple for you, but not for me.

I don't have an answer on that.

Live with a kids that's needs assistance and plus has autism, the divorce, the settlement after that. I wasn't rich and I am poor now.

maybe someone from the same home country as you may be more sympathetic.

and maybe offer to wire him some money later on to pay him back - although there's no reason they should trust you with that.

This Topic sounds like a Test.

A Christmas Test Topic in which we prove/disprove whether or not the Spirit of Christmas Giving and Caring for Our Brother yet endures.

In this case, we are considering the plight of someone who waited until the absolute bitter end before making a move to address his deteriorating situation.

In Thai culture, it is very rare for a family not to help a relative, given any similar predicament.

Western culture is far more individualistic, and Thai culture much more collectivisitc.

A collectivistic culture is far better for humans.

In addition:  I hope that this type of homelessness scenario will play itself out less and less, as AI continues to advance. Altman has promised that, in one or two more years, we will see the End of Work, and we will see a guaranteed basic income, with free medical care, and free housing.

I think many would help financially but you're  going to have to get out there and find a place to stay.  It is very doable but might take some walking around and talking to Thais using google translate.  Just tell them you were kicked out of the house and the wife hid your passport.  Tell them you just need a fan room and someone will help.  I'm sure of it.

Language is not a problem. I can speak Thai and always use it. Will try more and  again. There is nothing else I can do.

Try to be positive and I know that might be hard to do considering the situation.  People smell fear and desperation.  Stand tall and just tell them the your story.  Wife kicked you out and took your passport.  Family is sending money but won't arrive until first week of January and you can pay for a cheap place for a few nights and scrape together some more money to pay for another 5 days.

It is getting late and you need to do this now.  If for some reason that doesn't work go to a temple and ask them if they can help you find accomodation.  Maybe they have a private room and you could donate some money. I don't know but you have to spend the next 2-6 hours looking.

I am on the street walking like a dog from this morning. I cannot rely too much on my money, so will ask monks I can help cleaning or something else.

Not too many.

What does that say about us?

In words someone, materially  one even if it doesn't seem feasible.

I expected it: after all, I'm nobody to you. And I think that's right: my life and the consequences are on my shoulders. I'll try to get out of this in one piece.

It says over the last 20 years I've seen so many foreigners come and go, I've seen so many guys, very good friends, lose their life savings, going home middle aged penny less, to start over but recently I've seen so many nasty, deceiving, disrespectful foreigners, I chose to ignore their begging these days.

I keep to myself, my family and close friends.

Too many people scamming these days, look at Beach Road, foreigners scamming foreigners.

Now the good people suffer, sadly you don't know who's, who anymore.

Maybe this guy is one of the thousands evicted from KK

Yeah, it's tricky.

You don't know the person's history.

Some guys blow a ton of money in those bars, maybe for years and years.

Can't control their spending on what is essentially a frivolity.

If these types of people go broke, are we supposed to help them?

I agree with all you wrote. But I am really in need of a floor with a roof for sleep. Only this.

I can assure I am not one of them. I spend part  my life to take care my family, give my autistic son all the love and support he needed. There are bad stories of people losing money for alcohol, drugs and girls. But it's not me.......and I don't pretend you believe me but I can proof everything.

Haven’t you seen these social media videos where people begging for something to eat, or some kind of help, and those who gives gets ten folds back. Sometimes even more

Yeah social media, it's the devils favourite choice for communication.

My ex girlfriend, I have her old phone she left after moving out, I read her messages on Instagram, Facebook, messanger etc.

She bought an iPhone recently on Facebook, ordered it 2 weeks ago, they said next day delivery, she's still waiting.

She broke, her translation said to the scammer 'now I'm bankrupt'.

God she's beautiful, I miss her stupidity so much, she was always fun to be with ♥️
