Cows are usually kept near house and the grass might be 3km away. So you pick up grass on 3 wheeler and bring to house.

The sweaty, endless rides through nothing, the rent a girlfriend, the gristle-laden meat on a stick at the end.

You paint quite the enticing alternative picture.

And yet, still, everyone here except for you wants to give it a miss.

Oh I see. Yes, I read there are wars in Africa between cattle farmers and other farmers about grazing patches. So the moral of the story is to build your house near grazing lands, if you plan to raise cattle. Plan ahead.

Well the farang could build a new house but not me. Id rather go to Prachuap and stay in hotels. My gf lives on a farm. Its fun for 3 days then I cant wait to leave. Village life is fairly dull.

Actually, that's a good point. I've never tried it. Maybe I should first live in a farm hotel in Isaan. Like those one year army trials in the UK.

Have you ever farmed in the west? Farming is boring everywhere. My grandparents had a large farm. Its good for 10yo kids to ride motorbikes but for adults its dull. Thai farming is no more fun unless you love somtam with 12 flies sharing it with you.

I was more thinking about Jakarta where a friend has had some Muslim girlfriend success.

Most of my experience was in North Sumatra, which does have many Christians so as they never mentioned religion I will never know.

As I once queried on AN.

Thailand has a population of about 70 million how many potential "girlfriends" are there here? At about 300 million Indonesia has more than 4 times the population so how many potential "girlfriends" do you think there are there?

Islamophobia or religion has nothing to do with the mongering potential/oldest profession  in Indonesia. But it is true it is not in your face like sois Six or Cowboy. In Jakarta it used to be Block M but...

Chiang Mai and Thai beaches are better than any Thai farm. Farming sounds cool but is hard work somedays and dull other days.

Chiang Mai is pretty awesome, I can't disagree on this.

I do find beaches get old after 1 year. Done that and got the T-shirt. And I'm talking 7 mile beach, best in the world.

Indeed, the Toba people are almost all Christians there. What a ride to Lake Toba it was. Talk about adventure.

A house with garden near Chiang Mai would be good. Grow herbs. Lots to do near CM. Most villages are very limited.

I lived on a farm in a region mentioned in Country Roads, Take me Home for 13 years. With an actual Mountain Mama. It was great.

I grew perfect tomato's. I estimate that each one cost about $15 to grow.

I took the organic farming class outside of Chiang Mai. Who do you never see at the organic farming class?

Thai people.

I grew tomatoes. They were nice but bugs love eating them. Lots of hassle.

I know it well. Used to ride from the south shore of there to Medan most week ends. I go go looking for "girlfriends" in Parapat on weekday evenings if the fancy took me.

How did that work out? Were the Medan girls open to adventure too?

I'm also planning for my full on retirement as a land owner in the provinces, watching house build videos on Youtube on repeat.

I plan to build a porch that wraps around the house southern style and sit in a rocking chair whilst I eat my edibles and watch the wife's family work.

No doubt your wife will have a brother hanging about

Nope. She already made clear she doesn't have a brother. Only 1 sister. Lucked out.

Surely the cows can eat the grass by themselves? Don't tell me you have to cut it for them like chicken for kids?

Cows I see are usually anorexic and live on  mud and dirt, i see those guys going out cutting grass at the side of the road

I can see why nobody likes you. Many years on here won very few days. Isaan people are nice. Shame it attracts weird farangs.

Wow! So, you see it as a popularity contest on this forum? Buh hu hu hu! Have you won enough days, so you not get sad? What are you? 5 years old?

You know, I don´t write and post things to be popular. Just tell it as I see fit. I have enough friends, as well as a nice family. While you are just waiting to receive the next paid service.

Yet you are here hijacking the topic. I put you on ignore. You have a serious attitude problem.

Good choice

Incel alert:

Calling women "females" is exactly what they do.

It is a while ago and while there were "girlfriends" in the discotheque at the Danau Toba Hotel there were only a few but I only needed one. Sadly eventually one gets lazy and choses the path of least resistance.

Medan is a large city seemingly ignored by the large majority of tourists. Need I say more? We need to avoid "The Beach" syndrome. For the masses there is always Batam.

Yes, to be fair I can understand why Medan is not a tourist mecca. Whilst the food is amazing, perhaps even better than Thailand, the infracstructure is poor, traffic terrible and there's not much to do. There's a very mediocre mall and even the locals are afraid of the crime.

What does this mean? Soiltude?

I know some old fat guys who married Indo women, all of whom were muslim-lite and had to toss some cash to the family to paper being an infidel over.

Great English, but def bigger girls, at least for the fatties.

Nah, the same one on more than one occasion. Eventually they find you!

The ones with Acehnese in them are slender and Arabic looking.

That could describe Indonesia. 555

I only went there for Saturday night and a bike ride.

They can be big, but the Javanese are generally very slender.

Of course Indonesia has a huge amount of ethnicities but Javanese people are generally known for being slender.

So despite the muslim background you were able to hook up with at least one girl in North Sumatra?

Yeah, but in more that one place! I went on one weekend with two mates and the girls thought on each day whey would experiment with a different guy.

Why the hang up with muslim. They like fun just like anyone else. In bars you can't tell.
