Hotel to watch fireworks NYE

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I live in Hua Hin where the beach is the only place to see the firework display on NYE.

I have to be in Bkk tomorrow, 30th so thought I would stay for an extra night to see the firework display in BKK, however, I'm not familiar with bkk so is there an atrea where I can book a hotel with a balcony where I can comfortably watch the ddisplay at midnoight?

All suggestions appreciated.

Just looked at prices in Silom. Crazy prices riverside

Yep, same in HH, but beach rooms very limited, I thought Bkk may have more places to view so more hotel choice

Location-wise, the fireworks stretch from the Shangri-La Hotel / Jacks Bar, up to about the level of IconSiam. They are launched from barges on the river.

So any hotel that can see the river around that area, on either side of the river will work.

Or airbnb, as there are many hi-rise condos with balconies in that area.

Last time at Hua hin Beach it was crazy, firework goes off in every direction, and the Flying candle lights with poor take offs hitting and burn people on the beach.

Hopefully more controlled in Bangkok. Still worst place ever was Patong Beach
