1 month extension

Featured Replies

I am here with a UK passport having been given a 60 day VOR. I wish to extend by one month in fact I only need 7 days as I am then departing for a tour of Australia and New Zealand. It has been a long time since I visited Chaeng Wattana so I understand that the cost of a 1 month extension is 1900 baht. Is there some form I need to complete before arriving at Chaeng Wattana, photo etc? No problems with showing my departure flight details.

Form is TM7.  1 photo required.  And presuming you are extending a Visa Exempt entry (VOR??) you go to IT Square Laksi, not Building B.  Have a look here also;

You will need screenshot of TM30 from your accommodation + TM7 form with photo.

Basic copies of passport. 1900b

Note you entered visa exempt so you do not obtain extension at CW but rather Laksi IT mall.

I am in private accommodation belonging to a friend who reports my presence on line but cannot find any reference to Form TM30, so how do I obtain a copy of that?

Also how long before my 60 day VOR expires am I able to apply for the extension?

Many thanks for your advice.

The system they report IS the TM30 system, so I'm not sure what you mean when you say they cannot find reference to TM30.

In order to print proof, the person submits the TM30. Then they go back into the system and search for the submission they just completed. Submissions can only be searched for 7 days after they are submitted. After that, a new one must be submitted if they did not get proof in time. When they find the entry, there will be a button that says "export" which will generate the PDF document that is proof of TM30.

Thanks for that my friend didn't realise that there was only a 1 week window in order to print TM30 but has submitted a new one so I will use that.

You can apply for a 30 day extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current entry stamp. You don't lose any time applying early because the 30 day extension is added to your current expiration date.

You need to understand a couple things
First, you're NOT here on any "Visa On Arrival" :O

You showed up without having bought a visa from a thai consulate before you got here and you were stamped in for 60 days on the visa exempt entry program <- It's not a visa on arrival, it's not a visa at all, just a free entry stamp for 60 days because of your nationality.
AND
Second, you DO NOT GO to the main immigration office at the government complex on Chaengwattana Road to get your extension. :/

Free stamp (visa exempt) entry people go to the alternate immigration office at IT Square Laksi Plaza (3rd floor) for the 30 day extension

Also all immigration offices in the country are closed for the new years holiday until Monday Jan 5th at 8:30am

Thanks for that info, sorry for using the wrong terminology but thankfully you understood what I was talking about and I think from all the helpful answers I have received I now know how to proceed.

no worries, I just wanted you to understand what stamp you're here on :)
Best of luck with it
