+1. I only watched it because Colin Farrell was in it and I enjoyed it.

Continuing my effort to watch Sam Neill's films since his departure from this mortal coil, a couple of nights ago I watched the movie, "Dead Calm" with Nicole Kidman and Billy Zane and enjoyed it, although I couldn't remember much about it as I had seen it when it first came out years ago, so it was good to see it again and I thought Nicole Kidman was very good in it.

Tonight I have just watched another movie with Sam Neil in it, called, "Sweet Country" and although it's very slow, it does capture the mood of the time in the early 1900s when white settlers had begun their "colonisation" of Australia and of the aborigines therein. Overall another good movie although, for me, not a good ending!

Just a warning if anyone is thinking about watching Ponies. The premise of the series is obviously ridiculous but leaving that aside it takes until about episode 5 or 6 to really get going. Then it ends at episode 8 on a massive cliffhanger, which you will never be able to resolve because the show has already been canceled.

Since you're being picking about color. Unless story is written about happenings at Austrailia or S. America, then the Swan would be white. Never let the omitted facts get in the way of a good leftist spin.

I think I said this as well. Then maybe the title should have been "The Odyssey, The Reinterpretation"? Let's see what week 2 in release is like. Sometimes the box office craters after a strong opening weekend. Knew many in the industry when I worked West LA and Pacific divisions and most saw the world just like in this movie.

They should bring back the half way break, ice cream and plastic flavour cordial

I'll give a watch, as a torrent, being 3 hrs, though I can't say I would have paid for any movie, since Matrix 3, as I think Matrix was last one in USA that I actually paid the matinee fee for, and well worth it.

Like most of the actors, except the 2 getting all the flak. One has short screen time, so shouldn't be painful to see it 🤣

Just have to forget it's based on a story I'm way too familiar with, and try to appreciate the cinematography of it, and lack of CGI, as hear it has some epic scenes shot, that are hard to believe, CGI wasn't used.

Seen a few movies in TH, all of 100 THB, and a couple worth that small price, Star Trek 1 & 2 w/Chris Pine version. That's about it though. Haven't been in a theather in over 10 yrs.

High grossing doesn't mean much to me, or 8+ ratings. Here's top 10 earners, and I wouldn't pay to watch any of them. Did enjoy 3 of them, but not worth spending even Thai's 100 THB price of days past.

Within the Sheraton Universe I enjoyed the Madison quite a bit. Loved the relationship between the Kurt Russell and the Michelle Pfeiffer characters. You rarely see couples portrayed in film with such a loving relationship.

On the other side of the spectrum is Marshal's. It was so incredibly dumb, every single episode stretched credibility well beyond belief, most of the characters didn't seem to belong, and overall I found it to be quite tedious to watch.

I did that during a screening of yet another totally cr@p Adam Sandler vehicle. Went to the ticket office and asked for my money back. They gave me a full refund.

I don't get your point. Your personal taste isn't what's at issue here. The purpose of a movie is to make money. This movie cost $250 million to make. Add in marketing, promotion, etc. and it's probably going to need at least $300 million to turn a profit. The only way it can do that is by appealing to as broad an audience as possible. Look, everybody is just giving their personal opinions on what they like and don't like. I don't like the Avatar movies or Titanic. So what? That didn't stop them from being blockbusters. Everybody on this forum is implying this movie would be a big bust because it had a black Helen of Troy and a transgender soldier or something but they were wrong. The movie-going public loves it, the critics love it. And more importantly it's evidently going to make a lot of money. So just admit that you were wrong and move on.
