What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2026)

Featured Replies

Just watched a movie which IMO featured Sam Neil in one of his best movies and it was, "The Hunt for the Wilderpeople" and whilst it was on the 'light-hearted" side, it did portray New Zealand people and scenery in a good light and Sam Neil played a multi-faceted older guy, and played it very well. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

I realise that William Wisting is Norwegian, but is the whole series spoken in Norewgian or is there an English version??

Most of the series is in Nowegian but Carrie-Anne Moss (From The Matrix movies) appears in 2 of the series so whenever she's on scene it's all in English - I haven't found English Language for it but TBH I don't think it would work as well if you could find English spoken for this as I often find it a bit "Stilted" for series like this...

I enjoyed it as I've also enjoyed other "Nordic" thrillers like Wallander & "Chesnut Man" (which are much easier to get English Subs language) but I honestly didn't think I could sit through 4 series of a series on reading Subtitles alone.

I don't get your point. Your personal taste isn't what's at issue here. The purpose of a movie is to make money. This movie cost $250 million to make. Add in marketing, promotion, etc. and it's probably going to need at least $300 million to turn a profit. The only way it can do that is by appealing to as broad an audience as possible. Now members of this forum were criticising a movie they hadn't even seen because they didn't li

Look, everybody is just giving their personal opinions on what they like and don't like. I don't like the Avatar movies or Titanic. So what? That didn't stop them from being blockbusters. Everybody on this forum is implying this movie would be a big bust because it had a black Helen of Troy and a transgender soldier or something but they were wrong. The movie-going public loves it, the critics love it. And more importantly it's evidently going to make a lot of money. So just admit that you were wrong and move on.

I never said I didn't like it, hard to, since not seeing it. Just that I would never pay for it, assuming, like every other thing, isn't worth the cost of admission, for me. As stated, haven't seen much over the past 10+ years I'd wasted 100 THB / $3 USD on. If not for torrents, I wouldn't watch anything.

I just criticized if you're going to write a screeenplay, make a movie based on Homer's Odyessey, you should try to stick to it. It will probably be pretty good, or not. Just not a very accurate interpetation of a famous work of literature.

I'm sure it will make a mint. Doesn't mean I'd like it, just because other do, or it makes money.

The Crow Girl Season 2 has just popped on on my "Recently Added" feed for WizzTV... Seem to remember enjoying the 1st season...

DCI Jeanette Kilburn and eminent psychotherapist Dr. Sophia Craven join forces to hunt the killer of young men. The investigation takes Jeanette and Sophia into a dangerous world of historic abuse and murder.

Did you watch it.

I deed not. 😘

Why on earth would any sane person pay to watch an ex-hooker who tells lies just like her husband does, though not as often, spout more lies about her past and those unsavoury folk with whom she associated?? And as for her qualifying for an "Einstein Visa"..........get real!!!

Probably in 2 - 3 months time for a high-quality copy to be available. No doubt cam copies will become available soon but I personally avoid them and wait for the high-quality version to be released.

Limetorrents and PB have it!

There are reports that Epstein arranged visas for women from Eastern Europe. Possibly ‘Einstein’ was a typo.

uindex.org has a telesync copy but there will only be cams for a few months yet

I notice a webrip of Disclosure Day, the Steven Spielberg extraterrestiral film it out. Has anybody seen it? I'm not a Spielberg fan but it has gotten pretty good reviews.

Have just watched a rather enchanting movie called, "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" and it relates to the time when the German forces invaded Guernsey in WW11. Though it is not based on a true story, the German invasion did happen. The story has its moments of laughter and tears, with the tears being towards the latter part of the movie.

I have been to Guernsey and it is a lovely island famous for producing flowers and tomatoes as well as for producing its world-renowned heritage dairy cattle and their distinctively rich, golden, A2 milk. Now it has also become a centre for finance.

Season 2 is dropping now. Have unwatched season 1 on my NAS. Worth getting season 2?

Downloaded from PB, movie is mediocre, 6.6 on IMDB. Hard to believe it's a Spielberg movie.

The legit one look to be cams. The other ones with what looks like real names are the wrong size for what they say they are.

Low budget, Uwe Boll ultraviolet antimigrant exploitation film. Boll has been called the worst director ever and this movie won't improve his reputation

Is this the guy who is always on Fox? Him and Kevin Sorbo.

Let's not forget that Fox is heavily invested in all sorts of entertainment enterprise, and I suspect they would finance guys like these (under a different name) because they can give their stuff endless publicity on their cable channels, and Sean Hannity can gush continuously over their work.

Continuing my effort to watch Sam Neill's films since his departure from this mortal coil, a couple of nights ago I watched the movie, "Dead Calm" with Nicole Kidman and Billy Zane and enjoyed it, although I couldn't remember much about it as I had seen it when it first came out years ago, so it was good to see it again and I thought Nicole Kidman was very good in it.

Tonight I have just watched another movie with Sam Neil in it, called, "Sweet Country" and although it's very slow, it does capture the mood of the time in the early 1900s when white settlers had begun their "colonisation" of Australia and of the aborigines therein. Overall another good movie although, for me, not a good ending!

Reilly, Ace of Spies was his best IMO. It almost got him to be Roger Moore's successor as Bond. ("Almost" the way Jane Asher was almost the first Mrs Paul McCartney).

Thank you - yes, each of three different downloads didn't play back. I will have to be patient.

Thanks for the info and it is a series by the look of things, and I steer clear of them for memory reasons!! However I may give it a go!

Troy with Brad Pitt was better IMHO.

That's sort of interesting. Troy and Brad Pitt generated lots of complaints and bad reviews. The story was altered even more radically than apparently what Nolan has made. But something interesting has happened in the intervening two decades. Brad Pitt has aged, of course. And sort of retroactively he has aged into the Achilles role so that now most people appreciate it. As for Nolan. He's a boring filmmaker. I fell asleep on my sofa watching Oppenheimer and didn't bother to go back to it. Interstellar is another one that put me to sleep. I can only remember some astronaut walking across some water. Didn't watch Dunkirk and will not do so. Inception is a snooze-fest as well. Nolan's work seems to appeal to a middlebrow audience that thinks liking his work separates them from the hoi polloi. But give them a film by a director, such as Nicolas Roeg, who actually did make "difficult" films and watch the wheels come off, especially for the GenZer fanboys.

I decided to watch the movie, "The Shawshank Redemption" again last night and thoroughly enjoyed it, and IMO it would have to amongst the best movies ever made!

I had forgotten why "Andy" was imprisoned in the first place, so watching it again, filled in the blanks, so to speak.

People on this forum were excoriating this movie because of some of its casting choices. The worldwide market clearly disagrees with that assessment. The purpose of a movie is to make money. That

Boll is independent. He had trouble getting his movies in movie theaters, turned to streaming and DVD's, then retired in 2018 until now. Fun fact: none of his movies have made money
