Then followed the issue of the extent of said involvement, c.f. the Higgins material I provided.

Following this, I recommend acquainting oneself with the after-action report provided by current FBI Director Kash Patel and published by John Solomon's outlet Just the News. The report shows that Patel's predecessor, Christopher Wray, withheld the fact that the FBI actually deployed 274 agents to the Capitol in plainclothes on that fateful day, armed with guns after the violence started and devoid of any way to be recognized by other law enforcement agencies present (c.f. page 46):

The report also covers testimonies of agents who are unhappy with the institutional bias against Trump supporters within the agency.

Are you telling me that an OIG report is less reliable than a claim made by a GOP politician? (Claim made in 2023, long before the IG investigation was completed) 😄

Yes 274 FBI agents deployed after the assault, not before as Trump claimed. That's what you can read in my posts quoting Patel and the Horowitz report.. We can also agree on that.

Trump was lying about it, as usual! 🤣🤣🤣

Take a breath and a step back (if such a thing is even possible), and try to consider the information at face value. This is not an issue to agree or disagree with, it is factual.

The report was produced during Chris Wray's tenure at the FBI following complaints by his own agents regarding the political corruption of the agency, and was withheld from Congress. It confirms how many agents were present and what they did.

And as I wrote, the report shows that the 274 FBI agents were not present in the crowd before the assault, only after the assault, contrary to Trump's ridiculous claim. Confirmed a few months later by Patel.

Could the FBI have done a better job in order to anticipate and prevent the assault, that's quite possible. However, Trump's ridiculous claim that the FBI incited the assault has been debunked. Same as the ridiculous MAGA claim that the FBI planted the pipe bombs.

With many people, once they got attached to a theory, it was hard to get them detached. They’d screen out unhelpful facts, invent favorable ones, and ignore contradictions in their own claims. Look at those Sandy Hook, multiple fraud convictions, and Jan. 6th truthers, babbling about false flags and crisis actors and all the rest. When people were motivated enough to believe something, they were going to believe it no matter what. There was no such thing as a bridge too far.

There's no question that he's a major coward, he would never have the guts to fight a true battle, or do something dangerous. Not only that but he's a derelict, he's a delinquent, he's a felon, he's a lifetime career criminal, he's somewhat of a dimwit, he is a hater, and a racist, he is highly misogynistic, he's a terrible negotiator, and a fraud, and he's a horrific leader.

Well I for one, watched his speech calling on the people to attack the capitol bldg and drag out the Vice President to make him deny the votes denying Trump a victory. I further watched live the mob attacking the capitol bldg chanting for the VP. This was a violent mob to say the least and in now way should these terrorists be pardoned as they were by the criminal president. In addition, had he wanted to, he could have had them stop immediately and return their homes. People may have erased those events from their minds but it still resonates in mine.

Exactly, he watched it on TV for hours without telling them to leave the Capitol ASAP. A simple tweet would have been enough. He could also have requisitionned all major media to diffuse a call to leave. He didn't!

I'm not American, but I remember watching some of that election coverage, live, on TV.

Trump was miles ahead of Biden in the actual polling booth votes, but when they started to count the postal votes, Biden caught up and took over Trump.

The whole Covid and postal vote thing was controversial. However, as an outsider, it did appear suspicious to me that postal votes went Biden's way to such a large degree. Not to mention, in the previous election, Trump easily dispensed of Hillary.

So, as the thread title suggests, I'm wondering who actually stole an election, and who tried to steal it back. 🙂

All GOP led lawsuits, recounts and audits failed to prove any significant fraud. Actually, Trump started to whine about alleged fraud as soon as Biden started to lead in polls. He also made fraud allegations in 2016 before the election, when polls were not in his favour, and also after the 2016 election as he was upset that Hillary won the popular vote. He even created a committee to investigate it, and the committee failed to prove anything, as usual.

You are very astute. Is there other information on that page?

Key details from reports regarding CHSs and FBI personnel at the events are:

  • A December 2024 report by the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (OIG) confirmed that no undercover FBI agents were present among the crowds or inside the Capitol.

  • The OIG report did confirm that there were 26 FBI informants (confidential human sources or CHSs) in Washington, D.C. that day in connection with the events.

  • Three of these CHSs were specifically tasked by FBI field offices to monitor domestic terrorism subjects; one of them entered the Capitol during the riot, and the other two entered the restricted area outside the building.

  • The OIG report found no evidence that any CHS was authorized or directed by the FBI to break the law, enter the Capitol, or incite others to commit illegal acts.

  • None of the CHSs who entered the Capitol have faced charges, as federal prosecutors generally did not charge individuals whose only crime was entering the restricted grounds.

Can you provide a reference directly to the ACTUAL report that disagrees with the above statements from Gemini?

Since the names of the CHS's were not released, none of your beloved YouTuber click-baiters, X-nutjobs can say they know that the CHS's were inciting anybody. If you like fiction... go ahead and help yourself.... there's plenty of mis-information all primed and ready for you.

The Dems and woke liberal supporters only have two things - Trump hatred and Jan 6 Protest. We know why they have Trump hatred, and the protest is being given new names - The Unarmed Selfie Insurrection is the best one I have seen. Creating Division and using Lawfare is their game - and the woke liberals follow their direction. Sad thing is they truly believe their lies - despite all the evidence that surfaces. I was watching a video the other day on YT (forgot name) and a bloke explained it. He said that when you make your political ideology (or gender or both) all about yourself and think that is who and what you are, then you have committed yourself 100% to that ideology being correct and justified. That is why anything that criticises or even questions that ideology, manifests itself in your mind as an attack against you personally, and is an attack on who and what you are. That is why woke liberals - especially women - get extremely offended and angry when they are attacked (as they see it). Literally this is the case - Trump could say that a study has shown that taking Tylenol when pregnant causes autism - and woke liberal women who are pregnant will take Tylenol in spite because he offends and attacks them. It is a viscous self-defeating mental attitude and a circular argument as such - and he claimed that it can be harder to change in someone than a drug addition.

This is what you wrote. As a friendly reminder, pedantry is never a valid avenue to make a valid point:

Exactly, he watched it on TV for hours without telling them to leave the Capitol ASAP. A simple tweet would have been enough. He could also have requisitionned all major media to diffuse a call to leave. He didn't!

This is what Trump actually said:

At 2:38 p.m., approximately 38 minutes after the violence began, he tweeted:
Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!"

4:17 p.m., approximately 2 hours and 4 minutes after the violence began, he posted a video saying:

"You have to go home now. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You're very special... Go home and go home in peace."

Watching the Overton window shift is a fascinating process, isn't it?

From "no known FBI agent involvement" to "only a supporting role with CHSs" to "274 active armed agents in plain clothes, but only after the riot started":

Now is a good time, I reckon, to go back to whistleblower testimonies:

And while you're at it, have a look at the footage in which the D.C. cop says “We go undercover as antifa in a crowd". What could he possibly mean, in your opinion?

It was "the most secure election in American history", KhunHeineken.

Biden is a superhero worthy of a Marvel comic book. Imagine, if you will, a zombie who barely campaigns, can’t get anybody to show up to his rallies, is a walking disaster and yet manages to receive a historical 81 million votes, all while losing 18 of 19 bellwether counties and winning only 16% of counties overall…

And the funniest part is listening to the explanations by those who are usually so prompt to refer to statistical accuracy.

Mate - you think that is bad - what about these figures below - very dubious result IMO. When you compare the votes of Obama 1, Trump 1, and Biden - the numbers dont add up.

Obama 69 million - Trump 74 million - Biden 81 million (66 million postal votes).

Counties — Obama 873 - Trump 2,497 - Biden 477.

Bellwether Counties — Obama 18 of 19 - Trump 18 of 19 - Biden 1 of 19.

Biden winning was actually a good thing - now the Dems are paying for that - they should have let him finish 4 more years. Biden getting 4 years showed the American People how bad the Dems really are, and gave Trump and his team 4 years to plan how to destroy them. In particular it gave the team 4 years to carefully vet and select the right people for each position in his Admin - no Benedict Arnolds inside the room anymore. Dan Bongino did not work out, but he was loyal and did the best he could. Pam Bondi is maybe not up to the job - but The Don knows a woman scorned etc., so he will manage things very carefully if a change is made. Everything is being exposed and the People are seeing them as they really are - they are not the Party they were under JFK. That is especially when the Dems have their activists rioting everywhere because of ICE removals - and also all the fraud and waste Trump's team is exposing.

So maybe folks are actually seeing Trump and MAGA for what it really is?

Not really - the people more willing to respond are those with negative views - always the case in mid terms too. Many are responding to the current negative issues - it is normal political cycle. The only Poll that counts is the Election in November 2027 - in which Trump will (probably) not be participating.

If you think Trump and his Team are in anyway concerned, or thinking they will change their policies because of Polls, you are very much mistaken. Some GOP Members and Senators might think that way, but the Trump Team is going full bore ahead until January 2028 - at least.
