They have all been offered a $3K payment (exit bonus) and free transport back to their country - most have decided to stay and hide - mistake. You thought wrong - ICE Offiucers are Officers of the Law and can stop, detain and arrest anyone they believe is an illegal. Probably their database checks revealed a car in the name of an illegal - so the car was stopped. It is registered in a Dems State and he votes Dem - that is what it is all about - millions of additional Dem voters.

If that were true , illegal aliens would simply be able to see sanctuary in their cars. That would clearly be ridiculous. If they suspect the car is being driven by an illegal, I would think they have every right to stop it .

Interestingly (for me), to register a vehicle, undocumented immigrants may need to provide various documents, such as:

Proof of identity (e.g., a passport or a consular ID card).

Proof of residency (e.g., utility bills or rental agreements).

An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) can sometimes be used in place of a Social Security Number.

This implies that only legal undocumented immigrants could register because illegal (as opposed to undocumented) aliens would not have those documents.
