A 36-year-old man was detained by police after causing a disturbance at a high-end entertainment venue, where he allegedly consumed food and alcohol without paying and claimed family ties to an MP and a judge. The incident occurred at about 8.30pm on 16 January and prompted staff to call emergency number 191 after the situation escalated.

According to police and venue staff, the man, identified as Natthapat, from Nakhon Phanom province, entered the venue alone and ordered food and drinks freely. He also requested two female PR staff members to sit and drink with him privately, creating an initial impression of status and influence.

During the evening, Natthapat reportedly told the PR staff that he was a “nephew of an MP” and a “nephew of a judge”, claims that made the staff feel pressured to provide special attention. The situation worsened when he allegedly demanded that the PR staff help him obtain illegal drugs, a request they refused.

After being refused, he is said to have become verbally aggressive and intimidating, using threatening language and attempting to coerce the staff. The PR staff then alerted the venue owner, who intervened to calm the situation and later prepared the bill.

When asked to pay, Natthapat reportedly claimed he had “no money”, stating that his bank accounts had been frozen due to previous involvement in an online gambling website. He attempted to borrow money by phone from several acquaintances, but none agreed to help, leading the venue to contact police.

Officers arrived and escorted him outside to speak, where he admitted attempting to pressure the PR staff to source drugs and acknowledged losing control when refused. He allegedly became further agitated, removed his shirt and moved aggressively towards officers, but was restrained without injury.

Despite repeating his claims of being related to an MP and a judge in Nakhon Pathom province, a search of his vehicle found no illegal items. Police did, however, discover a psychiatric hospital patient card inside the car.

The venue ultimately chose not to press charges or seek compensation. Police therefore took Natthapat to the station to coordinate with relatives, who were contacted to collect him and take responsibility for his ongoing care, as the public discussion continued over the misuse of influential names to intimidate others.

It is terrible that in the 21st century people still think they are more because they have influence people and because of that can act as ass**les.... For me it is the same in Thailand or somewhere else.. It should be the other way around.. because if you are related to a higher ranked family you should behave even more decent to give a good example.. In Thailand they should stop with all the extras high ranked people are given.. from waiing to special seats etc.. Respect has to be earned and than people will treat you like that, but not because ; I am the director or I am the head of, or I am a MP, so now you all do what I say or want.. That is not of this time anymore and the same people misuse this.. as I am family of of a judge, an MP, a Governor or policecommander or what ever..

We are all born the same...... naked.... so don't pretend you are more than some else
