Trump considering offering asylum to Jews in Britain is not evidence that Jews in Britain are not safe.

  • A feeling is not evidence it isn't safe. I do believe anti Semitism is on the rise, the cause being Israeli aggression.

  • Wait a minute, are saying you want all anti Israeli protests banned? Just forget Israeli genocide and lock up those who protest it? Palestine Action is a protest movement opposing Israeli government

So far, y'all are totally missing the point!

This isn't about British Jews, per se.

It's part of the maga fascist white nationalist immigration theater.

Everyone else in the world banned from asylum.

EXCEPT, let me check, white South Africans and now apparently British Jews.

Its a fabrication of your mind that only white asylum seekers are accepted in the usa.

Your claim is what is malicious.

If Trumps behind it he must think they've got money and he'll be looking for his cut.

They arrive at the U.S. border from around the world: Eritrea, Guatemala, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ghana, Uzbekistan and so many other countries.

They come for asylum, insisting they face persecution for their religion, or sexuality or for supporting the wrong politicians.

For generations, they had been given the chance to make their case to U.S. authorities.

Not anymore.

So let's get this straight for the record.

Your claim is only white people are accepted for asylum now ?

I dont care about a crackdown or lists of countries that are being refused now. Thats irrelevant info.

The only thing that matters here is your claim that only white people are being accepted.

Which is a straight up lie. Fact.

All nations banned from seeking asylum now.

But an exception was made for WHITE South Africans only.

No black or Indian South Africans. ONLY WHITE.

I guess if the UK Jewish exception goes through that would allow non-white UK Jews but the intention is obviously under the assumption that UK Jews are overwhelmingly a white demographic.

STOP GASLIGHTING.

WoW! The situation in the U.K. is worse than I thought. If antisemitism takes root in the educational system, then a whole generation could grow up thinking hatred of Jews is acceptable.

It's extreme that schools would cancel Holocaust remembrance events or the visit by a Jewish MP. The pro-Hamas groups have a significant level of power in the U.K. No wonder British Jews are fearful for their safety.

Review of anti-Semitism in UK schools as figures show number marking Holocaust has halved

The Education Secretary will review anti-Semitism in schools after it emerged the number commemorating the Holocaust has more than halved since the October 7 attacks.

Bridget Phillipson said she had genuine concerns about the ability of schools to deal with 'hatred and prejudice'.

It comes after a Jewish MP's visit to a school in his constituency was cancelled after a pro-Palestine campaign.

Cool. Our gain is their loss.

Not commemorating the Holocaust is antisemitic how?

Or are we now alleging antisemitism on the basis of the sin of omission?

Just part of an undeniable attitude. If I was a British Jew, Id leave.

No. I believe it is because of attitudes like yours which have normalized hate, offering the excuse of it being anti Israel or anti zionist. Somehow, it's ok to hate Israel and to obsess over Israel to the point that Asean Now is full of Israel related topics, all the while tens of thousands are tortured, murdered, starved or otherwise abused in Somalia, Rwanda, Nigeria, Congo, Yemen etc. Hundreds of thousands of muslims have been denied their culture, placed in quasi re-education and work camps in China, and yet Israel gets savaged the worst. In the past few weeks, thousands of Iranians were killed by the Iranian religious dictatorship and not one of the anti Israel groups has said anything. No boycotts, no marches in the street, nothing.

What sums up the farce best is Zaha Arafat. She is the sole heir to the estimated US $8billion Yasser Arafat left in his estate. She owns some very expensive properties in London , Paris and Zurich and lives as a pampered socialite in an exclusive palatial estate in Paris with her mother Suha. The money was allegedly taken from the billions of aid $$ that flowed to the Palestinians. No effort is made to recover this money. Zaha has not offered any to the rebuilding of Gaza. No one in the donor countries has said anything. And guess what? She still qualifies as a Palestinian refugee, despite her not wanting to set foot in the Palestinian Authority or Gaza.

Seems that they don't want to identify the schools which are predominately Pakistani, Bengali and African muslim.

Why the questions? Did I justify anti semitism? Did I say Jews in the UK are responsible for Israeli actions?
You can stay in your victim role, IMO anti semitism is on the rise due to Israeli actions.

I provided a lengthy explanation. You have chosen to ignore it. Your argument now is that if one questions why there is one lofty standard for Israel and another for everyone else, it is dismissed as an ad hominem attack. That's the attitude that I highlighted. How many topics on Israel and the real and imagined wrong doings which some westerners obsess over do we need? Surely, if people were that empathetic, that compassionate and so very in tune with human rights and the horrors of war, we would have as much concern for the massive horrors that black africans have faced in Darfur, or the the hundreds of thousands that have suffered in Yemen, Iraq, Syria et al.

I asked questions because I wanted you to clarify your statement that rising antisemitism is due to Israeli actions. It appears you are blaming the British victims of antisemitism for the what you consider aggression by Israel. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see how rising antisemitism can be attributed to Israeli actions unless people are holding Jews outside Israel in some way responsible for Israeli government actions. What in your mind is the correct connection between rising antisemitism outside Israel and the actions of the Israeli government?

Palestine Action is a protest movement opposing Israeli government policy and the UK companies that support it, not Jewish people or Judaism.

No, I am NOT saying I want all anti-Israel protests banned. I am saying it is correct to classify Palestine Action as a terrorist group because of the tactics it uses: trespass, vandalism, destruction of property and even attacks on individuals. That goes way beyond the right to protest peacefully.

Holocaust remembrance events are usually held on Jan. 27, the date designated by the United Nations General Assembly as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It is a way of reminding the world of the horrible consequences of ignoring antisemitism. Neglecting manifestations of antisemitism is indeed antisemitic.

Six million Jews died because the world turned a blind eye to Nazi persecution in the 1930 and 1940s. That must never happen again and Holocaust remembrance events are an effective means of warning of the dangers of antisemitism. School children in particular need to be made aware of the Holocaust.

Why do you quote me for this response? I didn't make any of those claims.

The schools are not identified but you claim to know which they are.

School children are absolutely made aware of the Holocaust.

The history of the Holocaust is a mandatory subjected in the national curriculum.

The Holocaust is the only historical event that is so mandated.

Holocaust education is compulsory in schools in England as part of the Key Stage 3 History curriculum in Year 9 when students are age 13-14, It is not compulsory in academies or independent schools, nor is it compulsory in schools in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Holocaust remembrance events are an effective methods of imparting knowledge of the Holocaust on school children of all ages. Remembrance events also remind students of what they may have forgotten from classroom instruction.

There is no downside to holding a Holocaust remembrance event, so why would some schools cancel them?

I see you've taken the trouble to look up the facts of Holocaust education in English and UK schools.

It’s a pity you didn’t do so before stating:

School children in particular need to be made aware of the Holocaust.”

Holocaust education is adequately covered by the mandated inclusion in the school curriculum.

The history of the Holocaust is the only mandated historical event in the curriculum.

Nothing else is mandated, not the battle of Hastings, not Magna Carta, not the Peasants Revolt, not the Spanish Armada, not the disillusion of the Monasteries, not the English civil war, not the Reformation not the history of the British Empire, not the founding of the Union, not the Clearances, not the Enclosures Act, not Industrial Revolution, not the fight for the right to vote, not the First World War, nothing about the Second World War (except for the Holocaust), not the collapse of the empire, absolutely nothing of any of that and much more is mandated.

Cancelling, or omitting Holocaust commemoration is not antisemitism.

I'm here to enjoy info about expat life in Thailand not get on these political debates.

But since there are so many people who think Jews should get out of UK. A community who have lived there for thousand years. A UK until which until recently has a reputation for religious tolerance in modern history.

Well maybe that's just another reason for good or bad why the world needs an Israel. Which might not be forever but will outlast all others in the region, even if only for a brief time after their enemies big cities are reduced to smoking holes in the desert. Backed 100 percent by the US militarily and, please look up the "Samson Option".

You're only debating yourself.
I simply made a statement and answered a question.

They can stay or go somewhere, makes no difference to me so long as they stay out of America.

Good luck with that.

Obviously there are still irrelevant anti-semites in USA 🫵

MAGA is completely pro- Jewish and Trump is the greatest friend Israel has ever had in government anywhere in the world where if there is still another safe country it is the USA.

We will see how many UK Jews vote with their feet and take up asylum claims with the US Dept. of State.
