World leader behaviour?? Not in a million years. Americans should be ashamed of him.

I guess we would be better with Biden's brain power on this issue.

Every day this clown sows chaos, disrupts world trade, and causes anxiety to those who take him seriously. He is the polar opposite of a leader. Most tapeworms have more dignity, grace, respect, kin

Oh, well, I guess we should let China get the minerals huh?

I thought that the whole argument for USA getting Greenland'ss minerals was that China has the larger oart of the earths resources, and "Chayna was not being nice" about letting the USA have them.

As for China taking Greenland, 5 minutes looking at a world map will show just how unlikely that is!

I guess that would depend on whether Biden had enough brain power to remember that Denmark, like the United States, was a member of NATO. And NATO members are committed to protect each other. And if he forgot about that, he might have remembered that in 1951 the United States and Denmark signed a bilateral treaty that gave the US pretty much carte blanche to do whatever it wanted to do in the way of defense on Greenland. And even if Biden didn't recall any of that, I'm guessing that there were plenty of people in both governments who did.

But why is it that you and Trump don't seem to know anything about this?

Dude, read the book: The GREAT GAME...and study how Russia and England fought over territory to understand what is going on. Anybody who knows what is going on in the artic knows that China will take Greenland eventually. Just a matter of time.

Thanks God we have Trump in office and he knows the GAME!

Have you any idea how ridiculous you are?

Any attempt to take Greenland is an attack on NATO and also the United States.

It would trigger a full response from NATO.

It should trigger a full response from NATO. That's what the treaty binds its signatories to do. But Norway didn't give Trump the Nobel Peace Prize. So, if the US doesn't respond as it's obliged to, blame Norway.

What you mean is NATO minus USA would immediately deploy to Greenland.

The USA would deploy to Iceland since it’s clearly the same place.

Lol! There's absolutely no emergency. Trump talking about Chinese ships etc.. is just BS propaganda. 😆

Same question I asked before. Look at the attached maps and check which countries control the access to the NW passage (I make it easy for you: it's the US and Canada). How can China invade Greenland? By sending tanks accross the North Pole?

After the damage done by the American president in Davos - and make no mistake, it was significant, with alliances further ruptured - he has now managed to amplify it with comments that are as disrespectful as they are false.

To suggest that coalition forces fighting with the Americans in Afghanistan "stayed a little back; a little off the frontlines" will also resonate far wider than debates over geopolitical realignment.

His words will be a gut punch for the families of the 1,160 non-American coalition soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan.

It will be a gut punch too for the thousands more who were wounded fighting this war, many left without limbs.

And it will be a gut punch to the soldiers of so many nations who stood up to fight alongside American soldiers on the frontlines and for whom not a day will pass without them thinking about their experiences in that war.

Afghanistan was America's war. America's friends stood up and answered the call for support after 9/11. For over two decades, America's allies would continue with that support in an increasingly futile conflict.

I spent time with British and Danish soldiers in Helmand Province in 2007. They were very much on the frontline. The Danish lost more soldiers in Afghanistan per capita than any other NATO nation.

Battles in towns like Sangin, Musa Qala, Babaji and Nad Ali are etched in the memories of the many who were there and the many families of those who didn't come back.

Britons remember what became a desperately sad routine: coffins draped in the Union flag passing through the Wiltshire town of Wootton Bassett as the fallen were repatriated and returned to their loved ones.

457 British service men and women died in Afghanistan.

Donald Trump dodged the draft for the Vietnam War five times.

He was a student for four of his five call ups, allowing him to legally avoid the draft. And for the fifth call-up, he obtained a doctor's note for 'bone spurs'.

Bottom line. Trump is a disrespectful coward and a real pig. No dignity, no grace, no compassion, no sympathy, no valor. Just a bloated, blusterous, empty suit.

Suck it up. We are done with you Globalists! I pray Putin moves on from Ukraine and takes Europe and we cut a deal with him after he is done. Time to protect the American Hemisphere. No more blood for a Continent that surrendered to the Caliphate. You guys have no go zones in your own countries ...all due to people with a different culture and religion. Ok!

I think Trump was very, very smart to get out of the draft for Nam. That was a Democratic War, started by LBJ/JFK...and it was a waste. So, why go die for Bell Helicopter and McNamara?

After all the support Ukraine got from NATO, I am sure no one is afraid.

China does not need to "take" Greenland, any more that they had to take Panama.

That book was written by Tony Schwartz so why would anyone want to read it?? Sad that MAGA/Trump fans believe trump wrote it, but then again they are trumps "favourite people" and are gullible enough to fall for the inane ramblings of the orange muppet.

Getting out of the draft and consistently disrespecting those who have served, are two very different things. That lack of respect says alot, and is a large part of why the US military despises the man so much.

His former chief of staff John Kelly, a retired general, has alleged that Trump referred to Americans killed in World War I as “suckers” and “losers.” Trump has denied that allegation. The 74-year-old retired Army veteran was Trump’s superior—the first captain, or highest-ranking cadet—in Trump’s 1964 graduating class at the New York Military Academy. White said he witnessed up close Trump’s contempt for military service, discipline, and tradition, as well his ungoverned sense of entitlement, all helped along by his father Fred Trump’s generous donations to the school.

“No, those remarks absolutely didn’t surprise me. In my dealings with him he was a heartless, obnoxious son of a bitch,” White told me in an interview over the weekend.

According to White and other former classmates at the academy, Trump’s five years there, coupled with the disregard for U.S. military traditions he learned at his father’s knee, helps explain a great deal of the president’s reported contempt for those who fought, died, or were wounded in America’s wars, as well as his skeptical view of the need for the United States to fight in places like Vietnam and Iraq.

According to the Atlantic magazine, during a trip to France to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 U.S. Marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers.” Indicating that he didn’t understand why the United States had intervened at all in Europe in 1917, Trump also reportedly asked aides, “Who were the good guys in this war?” The Atlantic article, portions of which have been corroborated by the Associated Press, the Washington Post, and Fox News, also reported that when Trump aborted a visit to another World War I cemetery, blaming the weather, he remarked, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In addition, Trump reportedly said that the presence of maimed U.S. veterans would upset spectators at a military parade, commenting, “Nobody wants to see that.”

Trump’s comments appeared to be in line with the attitude he reportedly evinced on Memorial Day 2017, when he visited the grave of 1st Lt. Robert Kelly, the son of his then-homeland security secretary and later chief of staff John Kelly. Standing at the grave of the younger Kelly, who died in Afghanistan in 2010, Trump reportedly turned to the secretary and said: “I don’t get it. What was in it for them?” “This whole thing is as much about his disrespect for all types of service as about the military, but it was clear to me he saw value in claiming military bona fides,” said Michael D’Antonio, a Trump biographer.

But the academy did leave Trump with his love of superficial military grandeur, especially parades and medals. In 2016, then-candidate Trump told a supporter who gave him a copy of his Purple Heart: “I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier.”

Trump’s apparent disdain for the military continues a long family tradition. His grandfather left Germany to avoid military service in the late 1800s, while his father never served. According to Mary Trump’s book, both Fred Trump Sr. and Donald Trump harshly criticized the decision by her father, the president’s older brother, Fred Trump Jr., to join the U.S. Air National Guard. Trump himself sought multiple draft deferments to avoid the Vietnam War. A number of Trump biographers have confirmed that Trump evaded the Vietnam draft, and he himself has admitted to the Washington Post, “I had a lot of deferments,” and he “always felt somewhat guilty” about avoiding service.

What makes Trump different is that rather than justifying this subterfuge by questioning the war’s legitimacy, he impugned the intelligence and bravery of those who did fight, calling them suckers and labelling one of the most famous veterans, John McCain, a loser because he was captured and spent more than five years in a POW camp.”

It’s real simple. His grandfather dodged the draft in Germany and his father never went in. And when I came back from Korea, in 1972, I ran into him in New York City and told him where I’d been, he didn’t give a flying rip<deleted> that I’d been to Korea. He made barfing noises,” White said. “I said, ‘Holy sh**, you are a piece of work.’”

Does the art of the deal explain why Trump's businesses repeatedly went into bankruptcy once his father withdrew from running things? Why he repeatedly overpaid for those businesses? And you think that is the mark of a good negotiator?

And now that his bluff has been called on Greenland, do you think that America's former allies are going to be intimidated by him?

Anyone familiar with the war in Vietnam would know that while Lyndon Johnson escalated it, it was the Republicans who were his strongest supporters. Do the names of Eugene McCarthy or Robert f Kennedy ring any bells for you?
