I as an American totally agree - also a VN vet and he used a Heel spur deferment of the draft but played all the running sports in college. A total <deleted> and yeah now he was walked back on those comments as at least someone near his office had the balls to show him some statistics but in reality IMHO he does have nothing but disdain for all military including that of the US , thinking them ignorant for willing to go fight somewhere. In addition to honoring these brave men and women, I hope that President Biden and former presidents Bush and Clinton reflected on the fact that some who are buried at Arlington are there because they — like Trump — avoided being drafted in 1968. Therefore, someone who probably could not afford college, or have the background or connections, had to go into the Army.
