Man shot dead by federal agents in Minneapolis

The US President's speech to a rally in Iowa was disrupted when a series of demonstrators shouted in protest. "You do know they are paid agitators, right?" Trump claimed as the second protester was removed from the venue. "They get paid. These are all paid agitators, that's all they are. They get paid. They're paid insurrectionists. They're sickos."

Within moments of taking the stage, Trump had started making false claims about the 2020 US election being stolen from him. And he suggested to the crowd that he should be allowed to stand again in 2028.

Donald Trump repeatedly heckled in Iowa amid wave of mounting anger at his administration

Trump has often claimed throughout his life and career that people protesting against him were paid to do so, and has never presented any evidence. However the Mirror revealed in 2016 that Trump had paid Scottish students £20 each to protest against wind farms near his Scottish golf course.

Iowan farmers burned by Trump don't need to be paid to demonstrate. It's only a matter of time that everywhere Trump goes he will be met by unpaid protestors.

And now the lame MSM conspiracy theory! 😅

Talking of conspiracy theories, Trump is at it again; this time in Georgia, claiming voter fraud in 2020.

Next up, put them on trial for murder.

The video I seen shows the ICE agents disarm this protester, then

shoot him. Did Trump and his spokeswomen see something different?

This fellow looks like he may have been born in the USA, and died in the

USA. I guess this state is too democratic for Donald J Trump and his gang.

IMO

As I understand it, the other officers heard "gun!", but did not realize the man had been disarmed.

It is easy to sit comfortably in a chair and go frame by frame and point out what mistakes have been made.

"Mistakingly" shot by 2 different ICE agents, while he was down on the knees and after the first round of 5 shots he was on the floor. A second round of 5 shots followed with a pause inbetween of more than a second.

If you shoot somebody "mistakingly", every judge would sends you to jail.

It's as simple as that.

You sound really brave, like you would wait to be shot to shoot.

Clearly you know nothing of US law, and less of US judges.

Sorry Charlie, there needs to be evidence of imminent danger. Someone shouting "gun" doesn't meet the requirements.

Another person that does not understand the law.

There does not need to be "evidence" of imminent danger for a law enforcement officer to be cleared of culpability in a shooting.

I read that. Another ridiculous circus for his gullible supporters! 😅

It's a classic abuser tactic by the US Government called DARVO.

DARVO is an acronym for

Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender.

And a few wellknown people here on AN do the same.

That is a totally false maga fascist talking point.

Very very few Americans are against prosecuting/deporting that group of people when done applying legal due process.

What additional "due process" is required, after an order or removal has been issued against an illegal alien?

In a scathing op-ed in Mediaite, Isaac Schorr pointed to a trio of Trump’s loyalists whose disastrous leadership in Minneapolis led to the deaths of two American citizens at the hands of federal agents.

“He has Secretary of Homeland SecurityKristi Noem, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino to thank,” Schorr wrote.

Even conservative commentator Erick Erickson agreed, saying on his radio show, “A lot of what is happening now is Kristi Noem marginalized Tom Homan and the head of Border Patrol because those two prioritized deportations of criminals and gang members. Noem and Corey Lewandowski wanted broad, public round-ups without prioritizing the illegal aliens.”

Trump sets up for failure

They have bypassed Homan and the head of Border Patrol and elevated Greg Bovino because they want the public confrontations and displays,” Erickson said, uncharacteristically admitting, “It is not just Tim Walz and Jacob Frey driving tensions.”

Disastrous leader ship in Minnesota is at state and local levels ie police standing down on crowd control that immigration is not trained or expected to do. And what about Kristi Noem? Has it occurred to you that before illegals can be deported - they have to be rounded up! The distortions around here are ridiculous.

Erickson argues that Noem should have targeted illegals who were gang members and/ or violent rather than going for all illegals at the same time.

Less public opposition to ICE that way, I assume

1 hour ago, Yellowtail said:

None that I know of. The Order of Removal (Deportaton Order) is the final legal order requiring the deportaton of an illegal alien, with no further appeal available, according to Google. When the ICE agent has this warrant in hand, the agent has a limited assignment to locate the illegal alien on the warrant and take him in to custody to be deported.

While on this limited-in-scope mission to find the person on the warrant, the agent is NOT to approach a car partially blocking traffic, unless the agent has probable cause that the person named on the legal warrant is in the car. The ICE agent has absolutely NO authority to disengage from his assignment and do local traffic duties, such as a stopped car partially blocking traffic.

The ICE agent, while on this assignment, also does not have the authority to randomly stop a car without a warrant or probable cause to check who is inside.

The ICE agent while on this assignment also does not have the authority to randomly go door-to-door looking for the illegal, or other illegals. Again, he can only approach someone with either a legal warrant or probable cause. Being non-white is not probable cause, by the way.

ICE agents also do not have the authority to randomly stop people on the streets and demand that they prove they are citizens.

ICE agents also are not allowed to enter a home or other 'private space' without a warrant.

As I said in an earlier post, I think most Americans, including me, are in favor of secure borders, and illegal aliens that have Orders of Deportation on them being picked up and deported. What the majority of Americans are not in favor of, and polls show this, is ICE agents vastly over-stepping, in too many cases both brutally and illegally, the limited legal authority that they have, which has resulted in Americans being illegally engaged with, assaulted, sprayed with chemicals, murdered, and, in hundreds of cases, illegally arrested and detained.

Update to the above. Just before I was going to post this, I saw a news article of a new ICE internal memo which states that ICE agents are now prohibited from stopping and engaging with what they are now calling 'agitators'. ICE has deemed this activity to be 'unproductive' and to 'serve no purpose other than inflaming the situation.' They will also be issued megaphones to interact from a distance, if necessary.

Had this new directive been in place earlier, which emphasizes ICE's limited legal authority and engagement, Good and Pretti would likely not have been murdered by the ICE agents, who, if they followed the memo, would not have engaged with either of them at close range.

Also, according to the memo, ICE will now be targeting illegals with criminal records, rather than using a 'catch everyone' approach--which was catching far too many legal citizens, when they weren't being assaulted, murdered, sprayed with chemicals, etc. Looks like ICE blinked, and about time.
