Foreign Tourists Caught Having Sex on Tuk-Tuk in Phuket

Featured Replies

It’s deeply disrespectful to come to another country and ignore basic standards of decency. Having sex openly in a tuk-tuk is disgraceful.

Yes, there are go-go bars, but that’s irrelevant. They’re confined to specific areas and don’t represent Thai culture, modesty, or everyday life.

We already see too much of this behaviour: topless bathing at temples, climbing ancient monuments, riding without helmets, reckless speeding and road deaths.

“We’re guests here” should mean something.

Acting like anything goes is not a good look for foreigners.

We wouldn’t tolerate this at home, and we shouldn’t expect it to be acceptable here either

More idiots that can´t understand anything. No respect. No dignity. No moral standards. Only severe problems keeping control over themselves when been out drinking and their sexual urges. Pathetic ind

  • They are pure Trash to act like that in public. Kick them out and let them go elsewhere. People who are so inconsiderate of others should serve a week in jail minimum maybe longer.

It’s the correct decision. By making an example of them, along with the public humiliation, Thailand is giving notice to all the other tourist/travellers/media vloggers that indecent behaviour and disrespecting local culture will not be not be tolerated. It’s time low-quality tourists realise displaying blase contempt and doing as they please will be dealt with, punished and result in blacklisting for life. It’ll take time, but the message will get across to potential other phukwits that Thailand isn’t to be messed with.

Phuket police have fined two French tourists after a video showing an indecent act on a tuk-tuk circulated widely on social media, prompting public concern about behaviour in a major tourist area. The incident occurred on Patong Hill and led to swift police action. Authorities said the case was settled after the suspects admitted the offence and paid fines.

The clip, shared online on 30 January 2026, appeared to show two foreign tourists engaging in sexual activity while travelling on a Phuket-registered tuk-tuk. Online reactions focused on public decency and respect for local laws.

Kathu police said they received photographs and information from a concerned citizen shortly after the video began circulating. The materials showed the tourists undressing and committing an indecent act in public view. Officers opened an investigation the same day.

Police first questioned the tuk-tuk driver, identified as Kittisak Phonbamrung. He told officers he had transported the tourists over Patong Hill and later dropped them off at a hotel in Ratsada subdistrict, Mueang district. This information helped police trace the suspects.

On 31 January 2026, officers located the two individuals and brought them in for questioning. They were identified as Valentine Celine Johanne and Crouzier Wesley Franck, both French nationals. Police confirmed that both were tourists visiting Phuket.

The pair were charged with committing an indecent act in public by exposing their bodies or engaging in lewd behaviour. During the investigation, both admitted the offence. They requested to pay a fine to settle the case. Police fined each tourist 5,000 baht, officials said. After payment, the matter was resolved under applicable legal procedures.

The case has highlighted ongoing concerns among authorities about tourist conduct in public spaces. Police reiterated that actions deemed indecent under Thai law can lead to penalties regardless of nationality. Officials noted that enforcement aims to protect public order and the reputation of tourist destinations.

Khoasod reported that police said they would continue monitoring and responding to reports of inappropriate behaviour. The incident has also renewed calls for visitors to familiarise themselves with local laws and cultural expectations.

Key Takeaways

• Two French tourists were fined 5,000 baht each for an indecent act on a Phuket tuk-tuk.

• The case followed the circulation of a video online on 30 January 2026 showing the incident on Patong Hill.

• Police settled the matter after both suspects admitted the offence and paid fines on 31 January 2026.

It must've been a wild ride; either way, the girls seem to be pointing rather southwards on the pic.

I would suggest the Champs Élysées.

The fine is a lot for a young couple…deported and black listed are an overkill and will hurt tourism image meaning people choose Vietnam Bali Malaysia etc

Troll post removed @Reddavy

When Phuket tuktuks charge as much as a short time room for a 10 minute journey, you may as well use the tuktuk as a short time room. 😂

A bit harsh but these Frenchies are a coupla numnutz.

Brainless twits who think they can do whatever they want in

someone else's country. They did the deed and now they will

be made an example of. Imagine a couple of Thais coming to

your town and doing it on your Main St.

They'd be cheered on.

Surely not Pink Floyd ... ?

On the other hand, I can also imagine that in Middle Eastern countries, the penalties might be more severe than merely a fine and deportation.

In Indonesia things like this can get you 140 strokes of the cane. I don't agree at all with that kind of barbarism, but I wonder if the two Frenchies would have risked that in Aceh,

I can think of sights that bother me much more than if I had witnessed this.

Every day I see obese foreigners, whose bellies make them look 6+ months pregnant, walking around Bangkok. They look disgusting, and they did it to themselves. Zero discipline, zero self-control. Often their bulbousness is draped in some logo'd wifebeater t-shirt with maybe AC/DC or Pink Floyd or Nirvana on it. They waddle, the blubber shakes like Jello, and maybe their hairy arms are all tatted up like a pretend Maori warrior.

THAT is revolting. While couples in the mood should take it indoors, it would be nice if land whales would stay even farther out of the public view. Fat is much more offensive, and frankly, much more perverted. If this French couple deserves deportation (up to Thai authorities), I might suggest deporting all fatties, too.

Waist bigger than 35 inches? Go home, blubberbutt! Make Thailand beautiful again.

Good job you're not one of the girls!

I am an insulin dependent Type 2 diabetic and obesity is a medical symptom one has to suffer and try to control.

I find your comments offensive and suggest you are deported.

No further comment from me.

Yup. I'm always staying away from places that don't alow sex in an open vehicle on public streets. Thailand has lost millions of visitors with their Conservative views and laws.
