Jesse Ventura says 'Minnesota would probably be better off' as part of Canada

Actually, as a Canadian we'd take Minnesota, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, California, Maine, and New York. Free health care, strict gun laws. I bet Greenland would want to join too.

Jesse is right; but the question maybe does Canada want Minnesota, or any part of America for that matter?

As I said, some of the non-inbred states would be accepted. But the stupid US ways of doing things like the electoral college, guns for any idiot, etc. Oh, and they'd have to accept elections whenever the party in power loses a vote of confidence not every 4 years no matter how bad the administration is.

These blue states assert they are against having a king in charge, so this would not work.

What is wrong with the EU? Is the Prime Minister of Canada elected through a direct election?

When did you meet Eric Clapton? And what does it have to do with this topic?

Your head of state is King Charles.

EC is short for the Electoral College.

Canada still has a king, which does not align with the no king movement.

If Wexit comes through, maybe we can swap Somalisota for Alberta.

Win-win.

Will never happen though so waste of discussion

Its a good excuse to spew insults at the USA, Trump and members here.

But like you said, it will never happen. On the other hand, Western Canada and Quebec joining the USA is far more likely. Ontario can remain an economic colony of the USA.

When will they stop? Trump really bothers them.

Psychologically, they need to. If ones life is meaningless, it gives one meaning.

"Social media supercharges this dynamic. Outrage has become performance art. Platforms reward sharpness, not nuance. People compete to be the most aggrieved because grievance now signals virtue. Call everything harm and treat every slight as an injury, and suddenly the calmest voice looks apathetic while the angriest looks righteous."

Sorry. This is about the fascist right wingers, not the people on the left.

Narcs on the left can never seem themselves in clear light.

I dont normally cite Wikipedia on political/social issues, sso I offer this for what its worth

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alberta_separatism

Looks like there is a long history, pre Trump, there.

I reiterate my claim that Western Canada joining the USA is far more likely than any US state joining Canada

Because "struggling" is a lot better than "racing towards the cliff edge with hair on fire and pants full of s**t"?
