Probably fed up with your repeated requests for info on random places. Six including this one on the first two pages.

Need a good ride to get around! Many nice places in Korat to see, dine and sleep. Great area. You should get yourself a CRF 300,- and get around

Surat of course, mixed up a bit. But also been quite few tours down in the area from Surat to Ranong, Khao Lak Khao Sok, Krabi with Endless roads options for an small adventure bike, or even bigger

Been down & around the area many times, but neither in the park, nor on the lake. Lake is on the 'to do' list, but since we prefer traveling rainy season, it's always been overcast with a chance of, or lite raining on & off already. Not what a photo bug wants.

Seen more than a few vids of, and yea, I would think well worth it, though a bit pricey, but stay overnight on the lake which we can't do, since traveling with a dog. Wouldn't put her through that anyway, as she does not like water. You only live once ... enjoy your time, and take in the wonders available.

The area itself is one of our favorites, and should be visited. Just know that the park & lake are not really at the same area. I don't think you can get boats at the park. Tours take you out on the lake from over at the Dam. 65 kms / 1+ hr away

People that get tours 'in town', get taken to the dam. You can get boats from the dam, as I inquired at the boat dock before. Join a tour or charter your own.

I really don't find a need to enter most parks, as not much there, or less appealing than the surrounding area itself. Paddy Doyle has a couple vids of the lake, so yea, well worth the price of admission / boat, and overnight.

You can simply stay at one of the hotels lakeside, then simply take a boat ride from there. There's nothing really special about being at Khao Sok (town), a few more munching option, and also nothing special about them. Been there, done that.

Doing it that way would save a bunch of money, comparatively. But staying on the lake would be the way to go, again, pricey.

You do need your own transport. A couple lakeside hotels (left), boat pier (upper right).

Dam area is nicely landscaped and managed by EGAT.

If wanting to stay 'in town' during a visit to the area, Khao Sok River & Jungle Resort, was nice, and appears to have changed ownership, again. High season pricing now.
