The clip, approximately 35 seconds long, was initially posted in a squid-fishing Facebook group at 3:19 am. ThaiPost reported an individual known as Ai, a 47-year-old group representative, witnessed the incident while fishing for squid around 4:30 am on February 16. Ai initially thought the couple was swimming but later realized the nature of their actions and began recording.

As the video gained traction online, it drew significant backlash from the community. Critics highlighted the behavior as disrespectful to the local culture and harmful to the city's image as a tourist destination. Many bystanders and tourists reportedly observed the scene, with some also recording it.

Local authorities are now reviewing the incident, considering measures to maintain order on the beach during nighttime hours. Relevant agencies are expected to implement steps to ensure such incidents do not recur, emphasizing the importance of respecting public spaces, reported The Thaiger.

Please stop with announcing that the image of Pattaya is being damaged... Everyone all over the world knows Pattaya is the capital of sex.... If you want to change the image close all the bars and ban all hookers, but then nothing of Pattaya is left over

Sounds to me like Ai is the pervert here.

Thats original, whats next for you, inventing the wheel?

In the sea off Pattaya? Where sewage is discharged into the sea? They are probably not involved in a lewd act, rather they are just going through the motions.

Too much alcohol? They do look completely pixelated.

Even at 4am in the morning, would be fornicators are not safe from the lens of a camera in the hands of a Thai pervert.

I sincerely doubt this incident, at 3 in the morning, has attracted 'wide-spread criticism'. Tourists being tourists, no big deal. Happens everywhere there are large numbers of tourists. Nothing to see here, folks, move along. A bigger deal was the American tourist beaten to death in Bangkok the other day.

On the contrary, it would survive very well, and likey even better--but we've already had this discussion recently.

Anyone who films a leed act and posts or online is breaking cyber laws. Arrest the porn creators first.

Any charges against the amateur pornographers recording the hijinx?

Special message to the Chinese tourists, please note, that activity is reserved for French, Russians and Brits.

Thank you.

I must confess to doing something similar in the water off of Huahin many years ago. The girl was a real trooper - she carried on even after being stung by a jellyfish!

Well the article says that Ai is into squids- so maybe he liked the sight of the mans tentacles?

I always knew BJ on the Beach wasn't just the name of a cocktail! Cock-tail, better stop while I'm a-head.

Thailand is supposed to be a venue for a romantic holiday. If your kids are in the hotel room, why not.

If you've lived here a long time, I'd say you're odd if you haven't had sex on the beach (sandy) or in the sea (friction).

It's the people who film who are the problem. They're not outraged, they just wish it as them!

Would it not be considered just as perverted to view the report and, albeit pixelated, picture on this forum?

What was lewd about posting an unrevealing photo of a couple in the sea?

If concerned Thai citizens are so worried about Pattaya's family image then why are they putting these videos online? Obviously this is free publicity of the sort they would not want. At 4am one perverted fisherman saw them. After he posted the video who knows how many thousands now know about this.

This is why they have private beaches in the Hawaiian Islands.

The population density in Patttaya is just too high to permit lewdness, of any kind.

No idea. Moderation isn’t my job.

What's Moderation got to do with It?

They control the content on this forum. If they permit an image to be shown, it’s a strong indication that viewing it isn’t perverted. If they don’t allow it to be shown, perhaps it is.

Well not completely true as often one of the couple is Thai!
