Trump’s Case for War With Iran Faces Growing Scrutiny

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

WASHINGTON—The Trump administration, in pressing its case for war with Iran, has made a number of accusations about the regime’s threats to its neighbors, U.S. troops, and even the American homeland itself.

However, U.S. officials and lawmakers with access to classified information, along with experts who have spent their careers poring over public data and government reports, say the administration’s assertions are incomplete, unsubstantiated, or flat-out wrong.

And questions will only intensify as top administration officials brief Congress early this week.

Remember

Bush lied,

people died?

How about

Trump lied,

MAGA denied?

0K, it needs some fine tuning.

The reason why the US is currently at war with Iran is that Netanyahu has the Epstein files, as has Putin.

It's not being scrutinized by normal people, normal people are celebrating. The Iran lovers, America Haters and jew haters are the ones crying.

There hasn't yet been a poll taken yet that shows supporters of this war being in anything but in a minority. I guess that proves that most Americans are America haters.

On the other hand, remember during the lead up to the Iraq war how those abnormal leftist scrutinizers claimed that the Bush administration was lying to the American people? Shame on them!

How can anyone celebrate the fact that hundreds probably going to be thousands of people are dying and the economy's of countries and people around the world are going to suffer.

Trump and Netanyahu should be put on trail at The Hague.

it looks to me that thousands of Iranians were dying long before the recent action from the US and Israel.

Every time the US wants to enter a war of aggression with another country, the template is pretty much the same.

- Country X is an Evil Dictatorship and needs to be overthrown and its leaders killed or "brought to justice."
- The leader of country X is an Evil Dictator who kills his own people and needs to be overthrown or killed.
- Country X oppresses (fabricate a sub-class of citzens and enter here) and the country needs to be overthrown and its leaders "brought to justice."
- The military of country X are weak, backwards goat-herders and pose no threat to the "Most Powerful Military In The World."
- Country X has elections, but unlike America, the elections are rigged and the elected leaders are dictators who need to be overthrown so country X can become a "True Liberal Democracy" (True Liberal Democracy = The elected leadership are corrupt US proxies and do what the US tells them to do for being allowed to rape their country's resources as long as they share the spoils with America).
- The citizens of country X want to enjoy America freedoms like LGBT+, jeans, suggestive clothing, fast cars, promiscuity, and obscene music.
- The citizens of country X hate conservatism, religion, and family values which the murderous thugs in leadership force them to follow.
- The government system of country X creates suffering for the citizens because America sanctions the country into oblivion their system of government sucks compared to US "democracy."
- All country X needs to do is to overthrow their government and accept American's yoke and allow their country to fall into decades of chaos and suffering which America calls "Freedom."

Wash, Rinse, Repeat Ad-infinitum...

I'm sure I can add more, but ya'll get the gist.

Now all Trump has to do is define what "success" is, and then claim he achieved it.

I won't be surprised if we're still at war when the midterms arrive. Inflation---except "the volatile food and energy sectors", which is what people actually buy---will be 10%. Trump will probably claim he, and only he, can bring prices down 6000%.

Make Iran a smoking hole. Easy. Leave a calling card in case we have to do it again

That comes from watching the same pattern for decades. The US has been doing this since I was born until today. It never ends.

Yep, I love puppies and kitties and would cuddle one right after I put a .45acp in some scumbags chest. Some dirty jobs just need to get done, we have no untouchables in the USA

Should have left us alone in 1914. But hey, we are doing a pretty good job, can you tell us what would be better and who could give it?

In attacking Iran and kidnapping Maduro, Trump has shown there is no difference between himself and Putin.

America nearly bankrupted itself with the Vietnam war, the direct cause of it going off the gold standard. Now it is going to war with Iran using weaponry orders of magnitude more expensive, and a $38 trillion debt. Meantime, Putin has a basket case economy, with 15% bank interest rates and raging inflation.

IMO wars would happen a lot less often if leaders had to serve in the front lines.

Indeed.

These people are upset because one of their huge successes -- the unholy union between communism and Islamism that brought about The Islamic Republic -- is being jeopardized.

Such people see those two things as pillars of their worldview, and getting rid of Iran is therefore akin to undoing human "progress". Bwahahahahhaaaaahhaa!

Their worldview is destruction of the USA. Thats their bottom line.

Your fabricating a narrative and call it "truth," but it's just utter nonsense which appeals to the weak of mind.

The Vietnam war just made a previously bad state worse. The US government had already printed far too many dollars to justify the $35/oz gold fix. It was a way out but it was a type of default. Now everybody wants real money again, even at $5000.

Looks like we found the communist, Islamist, or combination of the two.

Those are two -isms that appeal to the very weakest-minded people on the planet — and exponentially so when combined.

It's never really been America first.

It's always Trump first with some regard for people buying and/or flattering Trump's favor.

But he does look up to a few people. The worst people. Putin.

Where has this happened specifically. So I know the places to avoid.

NY Times headline this AM:

Iran’s Strategy: Expand the War, Increase the Cost, Outlast Trump

The Islamic Republic is aiming to draw out the conflict and broaden the fighting. That would force President Trump to risk more casualties and more political capital.
