Denied entry for being tattooed

I think it's a good idea, often trouble makers have tattoos, just look in prisons. Somehow Thailand needs to raise standards, increasing costs won't do it as criminals have money, i propose a tattoo ban and criminal record check, who agrees?

FFS, if Thailand starts banning people entry based on tattoos, we might as well expand the list to make it more effective. NO ENTRY: GITS MUGS MUPPETS TOSSERS BELL ENDS PLONKERS NUMPTIES Done.

What an idiotic statement, I have a couple of tattoo's, never had an issue with the law in my life and you want me banned?

I reckon most of these tattoo guys should spend their money on a gym membership not tattoos, or less tattoos and more gym membership.

I get a kick out of people watching perched on Soi Bukhao nursing a beer. Some of these old guys 60+ or so have tatts covering their head. And these are old tatts which makes me wonder what kind of employment these gents were or are in. The only problem with tatts being so popular is the theme of the tatts. What's with all the tribal patterns?

I used to think having tatts on the hands were not a good idea because they couldn't be covered. I really think there's enough real estate on a body without utilizing the neck, face and head.

Done. Only snag is that would probably also wipe out two thirds of the AN forum.

I guess you don't realize just how many white collar workers with no tattoos are some of the biggest criminals we have? That there are millions of hard working men and women who have a couple of tattoos and are responsible family members who take care of children? That you don't see many tattoos people have because clothes hide them and they're likely people you know and respect? That there are many with no tattoos who are very disturbed anti socials who cause a lot of trouble all over the world?

Totally agree. I would have to sit on your face for you to be able to see mine.

Good fun at your airline check in desk. " Please take off all your clothes for a tattoo check, you may be denied entry to Thailand."

Most of the tatted guys I see are pretty muscular, maybe less well-read.

I would say they need a library card more than a gym membership.

Wait, is the tattoo trifecta coming?

People with tattoos are richer, better educated and more successful than those without?

This repeated claim does not match well with my experience of the people of the tatts.

Can't judge a book by it's cover. I've known hundreds with tattoos, from my dad to almost everyone in my family, friends, associates, and all are decent people. Has nothing to do with education, finances or work, as people from all walks of life have them. A work of art to most. I don't have any but have nothing against those that do. Some of the most disturbed people on earth don't have any tattoos, along with some that do.

I think it is not meant seriously.

Thing is it's a guaranteed hot thread with tattoo haters (I admit to being one, just on an esthetic level) and the leaders of the civil rights for the tatted folks all joining in.

A better idea is to give Tourists a free 48 hours in Thailand to see if they want to spend their money in such a dirty, broken, place where the air u breathe is so unhealthy..

I agree. And ban people who eat mashed potatoes, too. Virtually every convicted felon in western prisons REGULARLY eats mashed potatoes! Isn't that proof-positive! Perhaps put some regulation on the growing of potatoes, now that we know how much damage they can do!

No problem. I knocked up a quick sketch so you can visualize the situation. It's tattoo modern art. So personal interpretation is very much encouraged.

I say Thailand should ban entry to anyone whose forum username results in the initials GG, HF, BS, and KSM. Others can add to the list as they see fit.

Better idea would be to give the immigration officer at the airport some flash cards with photos of: tattoos, bare chested men, people with beards ( for the ultra sensitive aka Possum ) and ladyboys etc etc.

If any of the incoming foreigners winces or shows any signs of repugnance then instant refusal of entry !!

Don’t need these sheltered upbringing nancy boys showing their disgust for perfectly normal people ( except for the ladyboys of course !! ).

Can now add SS to the list, he obviously is suffering here !!

Thailand should ban single guys, because we all know single guys are trouble, and if they travel together even a better reasons to ban them entrence ;-)

Perfect solution: just give immigration one man’s mug shot on a flash card to use for screening. If you don’t look like the orange convicted felon in the photo, welcome to Thailand. If you do, straight off to Mogadishu.
