Israel urges Iranians to revolt but privately assesses they’ll be ‘slaughtered’

Senior Israeli officials have told U.S. diplomats that Iranian protesters will “get slaughtered” if they take to the streets against their government even as Israel publicly calls for a popular uprising, according to a State Department cable reviewed by The Washington Post.

The cable, circulated by the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem on Friday, relayed an Israeli assessment that Iran’s regime is “not cracking” and is willing to “fight to the end” despite the Feb. 28 killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the ongoing U.S. and Israeli bombing campaign.

Iran has over 150.000 members of the IRG and over 200,000 members of the National Defense Forces not including local law enforcement.

When it comes to Trump and Netanyahu one wonders in all their wisdom how they thought this was truly going to play out?Bomb the hell of my out of my nation and then expect me to head out into the streets and demand regime change?

The level of hubris and ignorance, genocidal intent and malice, that these men are operating from is astonishing to the average person. And there's a reason why they are two of the most despised and least respected men on this entire planet. There's no question that nothing Netanyahu has Kompromat on Trump, it's a reasonable explanation for why the men does anything he asks. Trump is his and Putin's lap dog.
