Education extension to DTV

Featured Replies

Is it possible to change from an Education extension (3 years studying Thai) to a DTV (workcation)? Can it be done without an Agent?

There's no path to change from any extension to any visa as such.

You get the extension canceled, leave Thailand and apply for the DTV abroad, using the eVisa system. Once it's been issued, you use it to enter Thailand.

OP, correct advice above.

As for agent to assist with DTV there are plenty.

However you need to apply out side of Thailand and use the e-Visa platform.

Simple Google search will show agents that offer this service (not cheap)

Yes, indeed. She's been quoted 100,000 baht by an agent, which seems steep!

When I did bit of research the 100k was complete package including transport to Laos + hotel + food etc.

Whole box and dice.

Half that price if you do most of it yourself.

Think your UK... You could look into DTV obtained in say Saigon if your visa exempt to Vietnam.
