I did a search which came back with a thread dated 2005 so I am looking for a bit more of an update on parking at the airport.

Basically I want to leave the car there for a few days whilst I take the wife on a surprise birthday jaunt down to Singapore. I've never been Udon Thani airport so I have absolutely no idea what there is there in terms of parking. Is there any secured areas (the 2005 thread says not .. . but that was 2005!)? Is it possible to park the car for a few days (here in Vientiane it's just short term - no long term stopping)?

Or would it be more of an idea to ask the Charoen hotel where we'll stay in Udon for a couple of nights first to leave it on their car park?

Any advice appreciated - dunno if this is best in here or the travel forum.

Cheers in advance :o

Been a while since I left my car there but there was never a problem. It strikes me as one of the safer places a car could be left around Udon. If you get there at the right time you can park nearer the terminal entrance for more visibility.

Cheers for that! I think I'll get the tickets booked we'll only be gone for a couple of nights so it's not like it'll be there a full week or more.
