Surin police arrested increasing number of drug dealers

The Surin (สุรินทร์) Provincial Police says narcotics are more prevalent among youths. Last month, police in Surin province were able to arrest 28 drug dealers, in which most of them were involved with amphetamine tablets, glue and marihuana.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Boonlert Jaipradit (บุญเลิศ ใจประดิษฐ), the Superintendent of the Surin Provincial Police, says even though the narcotics situation in Surin is still minor but police officers have arrested more and more drug dealers during this period. He says more illicit drugs are being sold to youths.

He says police in Surin are also keeping a close eye on drug trafficking activities along the Thailand-Cambodia border.
