Finding My Way

Featured Replies

Thanks to all of the people who were kind enough to point out the farang food shops in CR I am now the proud ownder of 2Kg of cheese and half a cow from Northern farms. Salsa had run out but at least I know where to go --- well almost -

As I can't read Thai I did have some trouble finding my way around, who can recommend some good road maps of CR and where to get hold of them.

Most of the hotels and travel agents have free ones. They only show the major roads though. Try the book shops.

Try the bookshop opposite Wiang Inn hotel, on the Main Street. They have a very good map over Chiang Rai province and a map for the city is included. It is printed on a paper that is a little bit "plastic" so it last longer.

The name is Visid Guide Map of Chiang Rai.

You are right....at the bookshops (about 100 mtr from Da Vinci) they sell maps of Chiang Rai. This is the map of the province Chiang Rai and a city map as well.....it is usuable. And there are (of course) several free maps available in the hotels and restaurants.
