Just finished watching the final of American Idol.

I suppose over time the best man won.

Randy always thought he was " The Dawg " and Paula loved his warm smile. However Simon as usual hit the nail on the head in the final analysis, with his "somewhat self-indulgent" observation. I know the crowd didn't like it, but at least he told the truth.

The grand finale was as expected. Stevie Wonder, The Boss and Aretha, fantastic as ever but I did feel his final number lacked the emotion of Kelly Clarkson.

At the end of the day the public will be the ultimate jury. We will just have to see how many records Obama actually sells.
