I have just sat down to watch Pulp Fiction. :)

Scea sat down to watch Pilp Fuction :D

I watched Inglorious Basterds on friday. OK but not one of Tarantino's best.

I watched Rock N Rolla last night which I quite enjoyed. I quite like the Guy Richie style.

A lot of people don't realize that the first word in the film title Inglourious Basterds is also incorrectly spelt.

I found it disappointing as below what I expect from Taratino.

With all my Asus notebook woes, I decided that next time. I will buy a notebook principally based upon reliability (fewest failures and malfunctions). So I went to CNET and checked out their reliability review. You guessed it, Asus came in no. 1 for reliability...

As I type this, I've just given up trying (for several days) to sort out a number of failures and malfunctions, having only had a short respite after spending nearly a week doing a total reinstall follwing seplacement of the HDD. Perhaps it was a Monday machine (lemon)?

You lowly spelling nazi!

Admittedly it's a bit different in this case. :)

Wiki avers that tea is the most popular prepared beverage in the world, followed by coffee (I would have thought filtered water). Beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage.

I wouldn't have thought filtered water was a prepared beverage!?!

Beer being the most popular is hardly a surprise though! :)

Just noticed the forum's newest member is called Naam1! :D

Couldn't possibly be room for another Klingon on Thaivisa.

Although, if he is a troll, he couldn't be worse than the original could he? :)

Just noticed some Major changes in Admin. :)

OC, elucidate, surely ya not expecting ppl to go look.

This morning I had 6,416 posts, now only 3,423.

Who has pinched 3,000 of them?

What has happened to my tally?

Who do I complain to?[/b]

Yes, I expect people to look.

A clue: who's missing from the list?

Remember you trasistor radio of your youth - with anywhere between the basic 6 tranny model and the upmarket 10 and 12 tranny ones (and, of course. your 11 transistor Ferris car radio!)? Compare that with the popluar 8086 (XT) computers of the late 70s/early 80s that had c29,000 transistors... Then compare that with the computers of today... you are lugging anything from 200 million to 800 million transistors around in your backpack!

Many have lost posts from their postcount, I wonder if connected?

Yeah, I've just noticed I'm coming up to 5000 for the second time this month.

A newbie hacker? Look out for someone who's gone from 0 to 10,000 in 2 days.

I am waiting for the Rouge Admin's manifesto to appear on TV anytime now.

Until then I guess the missing posts are being held as virtual hostages.

I have also lost nearly 2,000 posts, <deleted> is going on? :)

Perhaps another subforum has been converted to "no posts count" (like Farang Pub), thereby all the historical posts in that subforum have been deducted from your total?

Down to 218 :)

Still here in bedlam.

Based on medical history?

The silence from our fearless leaders on this issue is deafening.

It has to be related to posts in forums that no longer count (jokes, etc). They've (deliberately or not) deleted the count of posts that were made prior to the date that they no longer counted. I don't care one way or the other, but it is arguably unfair. It may have been a non-deliberate software issue (given that no announcement was made).

As far as I'm concerned, they'd be better to leave them off (as not counting) but it is probably not the right thing to do (because they counted at the time the posts were made and people have a right to expect that the rules of the day apply, not something implemented and then applied retrospectively... If restrospectivity is to be applied, it should be applied universally, which would affect prior moderation rules/decisions). In any event, I expect that an explanation will be forthcoming.

If they deleted all the posts that were meaningless drivel it would explain why I lost so few and others so many. :)

No wonder I lost so many.

Word games had some good escapism...... loved it

You can still play the games though, Pete...

Yet "The Last Word" and possibly the new "Mornington Crescent" game, which can be quite shameless post generators aren't affected.
