Does anyone know of any really cheap hotels close to Fashion Island? Preferably 600B or less.

There aren't any hotels that I know of but there are some apartments that you can rent short term. Try and do a search for prices and locations. I know of some on Nawamin Road which is about 10 mins to Fashion Island

You can do a general search on the net. It may be in Thai though as there aren't many farangs in this part of Bangkok.

We live very close to Fashion Island (since 1996) and I dont recall seeing any type of hotel cheap or expensive in this area. How long did you intend to stay? As another poster stated their are a number of apartment buildings in the area where you might be able to rent weekly. Give me more specific info and I'll take a closer look.

This afternoon I was driving down Ramkhampang Road and noticed that a new hotel opened that might be what you're looking for. I gave them a call and they told me B790 p/n but you can probably negotiate a better price. The name is Chana Hotel, Tel: 02 517-9521/2. It is locate off Rankhampanr Road in Minburi and you can probably get to Fashion Island in about 15 min. I didn't have time to drive in to take a look but from what I could see from the road it looked pretty nice.
