Having a great week with the truck ! Firstly it got keyed, the next day someone snapped the aerial off (new one from Isuzu Bt755), then the next day I get a puncture ! I change the wheel only to find that the garage have not honoured the contract to have the spare as an alloy as per the other 4. That argument will have to wait for a trip to Buriram.

However, I need a new tyre, specifically a Bridgestone Dueller. Where do you get them in Pattaya ?

Got a puncture Dave, can't see where from but I don't want a leak going down time and time again. Plus had to drive on the flat for a short while so the tyre may be screwed. Don't want the risk at 150kph of it screwing up.

What do you do when you have a puncture ?

I go to the same shop that I mentioned.

They might just put a plug (rubber bung glued and forced into the tyre) in it if the tyre isn't screwed, not allowed back home but i've had a large plug in my tyre for months and its fine (same tyre as yours).

Why a new tyre, is it that bad?

Tyre shop on the left (going towards nth pattaya) sukhumvit rd inbetween pattaya tai and klang, big red bridgestone sign.

This place will take off your tyre and "vulcanise" it. ie. fit a patch on the inside and use heat to seal it.

Much better than a plug glued in and about the same price. Last time I got a puncture they charged 100 baht.

I recommend that you get the tired plugged or patched theb swap it with the tire on your spare rim.

Yeah, thought about that as well. Cheapest option but leave me with a potentially iffy spare.

While on the tyre subject anyone know where in Pattaya sells the big 33x12.50x15 tyres ?

As for plugging a tyre I have had a plug in mine for around two years. the way they are designed there is more on the inside and if well done ( should ) last the life of the tyre.
