Krabi has some of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, m u c h nicer than Phuket and Samui combined. Only Krabi is very laid-back.

I wonder if anyone of you has had a really good experience in a lower priced place. I know all the upscale places, so don't bother for those.

There are 3 bungalow operations on Haat Noppharat Thara in Krabi.

Mayby they don´t qualify as resorts, but a very nice quiet area.

This beach is situated some 3-4 km from Ao Nang to the North.

You have to cross the stream Khlong Haeng to get there.

But the longtail boats operated by the bungalow owners run regularly throughout the day.

I have stayed at both the Andaman Inn and the Emerald Inn.

At the time I stayed there the huts started at 150 baht and the larger ones 350.

You should still be able to get decent accomos for about 500 baht.
