Where in Oz did Kerrie go Seonei? She was talking about Darwin at one stage.

What a fabulously interesting thread - and so many cool, witty and insightful words from some of my favourite TV mates. :D

Have been in Oz for a whole week now and it's so wonderful to finally take a long-yearned for rest and visit with my family after 5 years in Thailand. Even though most of the family came over to Phuket just a few months ago for my sister's wedding, it's a totally different experience being back here in their homes and eating and eating and eating all those home-cooked meals, checking out the supermarkets, gum trees and ... not being an alien. I slept a lot too. It's strange how parents don't understand why you need to sleep for a few days after abruptly ending a crazy 7 day working week several years running.

I met my 2nd niece for the first time this week - a sweet three-year old wildflower, saw my big brother for the first time in 6 yrs and worried with my dad over my mum's ailing health. It's surprisingly cold in Sydney right now and after all those years on Phuket, I froze ... so here I am in sunny Central Queensland - at my sister's lovely antique filled century-old house in a seaside town called Yeppoon. Thankyou Virgin Blue - I love these budget airlines!

It's Christmas and my eccentric brother-in-law has a whacky light show outside his house which attracts nightly drive-bys by locals on festive street tours. My sister calls him Homer Simpson :D We all laugh a lot in this house! Tonight, tens of thousands of fruit bats flew overhead at dusk heading for the fruit orchards - quite a sight on a near full moon. And this morning, I went out walking on the beach at 6am :D - daylight here = 5am to 8pm - and I saw seagulls, black cockatoos, kayakers heading for an island on the horizon and no drunks stumbling home from a night out :bah:

So, Plan A - I'm on holiday - yippee yay! One day at a time and I'll see what the universe brings me. Am sure after a good rest and a whole lotta fun, I can decide where I want to be. But I do know one thing - from what I've seen here of the local media, I won't be watching television or reading the newspapers too often!! :o

Happy Christmas y'all... :D

Good to hear from you Khall. We look forward to your posts.

Have a great holiday.
