Translation Of Marriage Certificate

Featured Replies

I want to get a translation of our marriage certificate for my husband's visa application.

I know there are lots of translation agencies in Chiang Mai - can anyone recommend any of them? Does the translation need to be 'certified'? If so, who does this and does it cost extra?

Thanks for any advice

J

Well I can say that the service NOT to use is the service close to the US Consulate. They did a very bad job and we had to get it done over again when we were filing in bangkok.

I have used them a few times over the years, including for my marriage certificate. Had no big problems. If they made a mistake in the spelling of a name (which did happen, I admit) they were willing to work with me and make necessary corrections. And it was really cheap... something on the order of 100 baht or so? Might be wrong, but it was definitely inexpensive.

If you don't want to use them, however... you can do a search on this site for "translation service" and find the following:

you can bring to ECC Chiang Mai on Huay Kaew Rd.They charge 400 - 600 baht include certified. about 2 day you can get it back.

I had mine done by one of the little places outside the MFA in Chiangwattana road, Non thaburi. Cant remember how much but not expensive.
