Right place right time. :o

As a finikey sod, a bit of flash would have helped a little. It would improve the Buddha and got rid of the shadows from the back lighting, but getting the image more important than messing with the equipment.

Just a little point and shoot.. Doubt the flash that its equipped with would have had much impact but I do see your point.

  • 3 weeks later...

No flash needed really, just focus at the bottom of the Buddha (half press the shutter button) to get a brighter exposure of the foreground, then lift the camera up (still holding the shutter button half down) to the shot you wish to take and the statue should become more brighter. Having said that, one does not know what would happen to the Sunlight at the top !!!!!

Try this little trick, I do when the foreground is too dark. :o

Nice shot :D Right place, right time.

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D
