Best Isp For 56k Connection In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Can anyone suggest or recommend a few good Internet Service Providers for a 56k connection in Bangkok?

I'm looking for speed, absence of annoying cut off periods and reasonable price.

Are there any ISP reviews for Bangkok/Thailand?

Thanks!

Why not use ADSL if you are in Bangkok? Everyone is getting on the 590 baht per month bandwagon now. Beats dial up anytime.

Sounds good!

Have you any info on which ISP for ADSL?

I've not used anything but 56k before - does ADSL use a phone line or will I need a special line installed?

Thanks again!!!

Your phone line needs to be first connected to a digital switch, after that a DSL modem will communicate from your end. unTRUE seems like the most popular provider right now.

It uses a phone line but you can still use a phone at the same time. TRUE was the first to offer at a low price and they also provide many of the phone lines here in Bangkok. So you pay normal phone charge and 590 baht plus vat for full time internet (which will normally be about 2 or 4 to 10 times faster than dial up).

If you have a ToT phone line there is a little extra charge or you can use one of the other providers such as CS/Loxinfo.
