Hi all with the rise of the baht and the fact we have to keep,

large sums of money in a bank, to live here. I have had a large sum

sat doing nothing for nine years by and large, was thinking of changing banks

can any member suggest what might be an option, even if its a new hat

I am with the Bangkok bank and am happy with their service but thought /

i bet some of the thai visa people will know a better way yaimar

Over the years Bangkok Bank has probably become the expats least favouite bank.

That aside, they all pay much the same intrestwise. :o

Naka.

Had an account 12 years ago with bangkok bank. Counter service terrible. About 5 years ago opened account with Thai Farmers (now Kasikorn). Much better service. 3 years ago opened account with Siam Commercial and found their service very good, and very friendly. Recommend SCB very highly.

I agree with Living in Kata. I got rid of my account with Bangkok bank as they were just too rude for my tastes.

They are the no. 1 bank in Thailand and i guess that means they don't have to try.

I switched to Kasikorn bank which is a pleasant change.

My wife has an account with SCB and they are very nice also. And they seem to have more new branches.

Bangkok bank is a long drive from Rawai.
