Is It Just Me....

or do other members find the posts of "muhammad10280" http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showuser=59742 mildly annoying?

It's nothing to do with the content as such and perhaps I'm being over sensitive, but prefixing EVERY post with "In the name of God" just pushes my buttons for some strange reason.

EDIT Removed comment re. avatar.

EDIT 2 Apparently "Bismillah arrahhman arrahhim" (In The Name of God, the All-Merciful the All-Compassionate!), is a standard Muslim format applicable to the opening page of a book or document. Still makes me uneasy though :o

a bit strange indeed...just wonder does he do this with copy/paste or retyping it each time?

My internet access has been a little flaky for the last hour or so, if it hadn't been I would have started this exact same topic.

The saying is used to start a book, not every single post, and for me that smacks of an ulterior motive.

Sadly this intro is bound to start a fight sooner or later.

Unfortunately I agree, it certainly wasn't my intention to inflame which is why I posted here in bedlam where the more 'mature' members operate.

Just trying to get a feeling of others thoughts before embarrasing myself with admin by asking them to have a quiet word with him.

edit: Add content: His posts don't seem to bad. If he wants to write them with that prefix, let him. You don't have to read it. Inshallah.

In the name of raro

I fully agree.

Definitely better than a poster - whose name I forget - who used the first person in each sentence, almost.

Example: Professor Plm believes ...... (instead of staying I believe).

That was annoying to the max.

Peter

Oh no, not another religious maniac on tv! :o

Almost certainly it's a fictitious person I reckon. Read through his post history and you'll see what I mean.

Looks like he's got bored, his recent posts don't have the prefix :o

He got a pm from Admin
