Have a look at planetholiday.com, just been on their website & they seem to have plenty of hotels for your requested dates - with instant confirmation.

Forget the hotel room booking sites. Decide which hotel and contact them directly.

Call The Federal. Sukumvit Soi 11,or email them, 662-253-0175. [email protected] www.federalbangkok.com

Nice people, clean rooms, good location.

Internet booking sites often give better rates than booking with the hotel ... try sawadee.com.

Naka.

and I have had it happen personally (planetholiday) when I showed up at the hotel having paid that "great rate" to find out they are fully booked and my reservation seemed to have been "lost".

Also, I could not get reimbursed by planetholiday.

Sorry, hotel booking websites (in my opinion) s**ck

Never had any problems with any of the hotel booking sites & with regards to planet holiday - used them in Thailand, UK, Malaysia, Egypt, South Africa, Dubai, Germany and like I already said - no problems.

Contact the hotel directly & you'll usually end up paying substantially more.

Used sawadee too - reliable, often a little more expensive than other sites, but in most cases - certainly cheaper than contacting the hotel directly.

Asiatravel.com, the site I've used for years to book hotels in Thailand, has a hotline +66-2-6797187 which will recommend hotels in your price range which have capacity, and then make your booking right then and there. I've found the hotline invaluable for times when I've made unplanned arrivals in Bangkok and needed a hotel room that night. Since your arrival date is still a few days away, you might like to look on the Asiatravel.com website for hotels which have immediate confirmation. There are many. Asiatravel might be a few baht more expensive than the cheapest sites, but I've found it rock-solid reliable.

Agree totally. Used Asiatravel.com many times throughout Asia, always reliable. Tried others but nothing else compares...will use Asiatravel everytime. :o
