Featured Replies

Has anyone heard about double entry Tourist VISAS still issued and where ? :o

Just for your info folks, I was at the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur 3 days ago. I was told they cannot issue more than the 2+1 Tourist Visa (100 RM).

Thank you for keeping me updated. :D

I guess he mean a tourist visa= 60 days + 30days extension.

BTW, I called the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur for checking out their standard regarding Non Immigrant Visa and as expected they told me they issue only single entry visas.

If this is true, and it does not surprise me,

it emphasises how the Visa dodgers, visa runners, whatever, are making

life more difficult for those who want to visit Thailand legally on an extended holiday.

The consolate in Penang, gives treble entry tourists visa's,i.e 6 months.Got one last month.

I called last Thursday and talked with a very well English speaking lady, and well I guess she`s true. :o

I heard from a neighbor of mine that when he went to Penang the last time the price was up to 500 ringit for a double entry tourist visa! Is that right? I have to go down for one more as I plan to be in Bangkok for six more months, but the price of over 5000 baht is WAYYY too high for the money I have left to spend. Is there anyone reading this that may have info (more recent than a month old) as to the availablity and cost of getting a double entry tourist visa in the next two weeks?

I am sure NJ Books would be able to fill you in on the current status

Its 100 ringet per entry, takes two full days, your friend must have used the one day service 100+500 extra.

Weighed up against an extra night in a hotel its probably cheaper

In July costs were 100 R for each entry (so treble was obviously 300) with a 20R processing fee for an agent to do it and 80 R for the one day service..

I paid my 400 R and got the treble back by 5PM in the afternoon..

So the 80R is for the same day service? If you don't want to pay this you have to go in the morning and pick up in the afternoon the next day?
