I desperately need to do a course to learn professional movie editing software such as Final Cut or Adobe Premier. I was thinking of returning to the UK and finding a course over there but it would be cheaper to stay here, and nicer of course - I would probably also be eligible for a student ED visa which would be perfect.

Question is, can I do such a course here in Bangkok and how do I go about finding the right university?

A Google comes up with BUIC which seems to specilise in multimedia - I will give them a call to get a more specific answer but thought I'd pop in here also because you guys have always been useful in the past.

Cheers.

I was at IT Mall in Fortune Hotel near the Rama 9 MRT station recently. On the 3rd floor of the IT Mall section, I saw a small all-glass room that reminded me of a fishbowl since passerbys could view the room. There was a teacher in front the classroom showing a slide and students looking at photos on computers. It seemed to be classes for all things involving photos, video, photoshop, video editing, etc. I think it is sponsored by Yamaha schools and is called Digital Rxxxs something. There is another Yamaha school on the same floor but that one is for music only I think.

I didn't have time to check into it but plan to do so next trip. All the people in the "class" were Thai so it is possible the classes are taught only in Thai. It would be fun and informative to take a class from an expert if English were available.

If I get back there soon, I will post what I find.

Maybe this topic should be moved to the photograhpy thread??
