I would like to provide health insurance for my Thai live-in nanny (50 years old). Can anyone provide me with advice on how to go about this? I would like to ensure that she has adequate coverage for possible in-patient and out-patient care in Thai hospitals.

Pay her "stamp" (social contribution?) which is a maximum of Bt750 a month and she is on a health scheme run by the government (not the Bt30 scheme). She would also qualify for a pension but don't quote me on how many years / how much etc.

You could go private but are you really going to provide millions of bahts of cover when she'll likely be happier off in the local hospital ? I know in Pattaya the scheme cover Memorial but not the top end ones.

We fund our maid's insurance. Ours signed up as a family member on her daughter's existing BUPA plan, and we paid the "new additional family member cost" which was THB 2,400 for a year. Not sure how much a stand-alone policy would be.
