Thai Birth Certificate And Passport Needed

We will be in BKK in a few weeks and would like to get our 9 month old daughter a Thai Birth certificate and a passport before traveling south for the summer. Does anyone have any experiance on doing this?

she'll need to get her Thai Birth certificate in the US from the Thai embassy in DC. As she was born in the US, the Thai embassy is the only Thai government office with the authority to issce a Birth cerificate for Thai nationals born on US soil..

You typically can apply for a Thai passport at the same time, but you'll need to do so in person. If you are not near DC you'll need to find out if you can apply for a Thai passport at a consulate nearer to you.

You cannot do any of this in Thailand if there is no birth certificate!!
