So fare thee well, my own true love,

For when I return, united we will be,

It's not the leaving of Liverpool that grieves me,

But my darling when I think of thee.

Scouse. :o

I also was thinking of 'leaving of Liverpool' but not Durham town...

Is there a song about Manchester town?

Is there a song about Manchester town?

Funnily enough I was thinking the same thing last night and off the top of my head the only ones that sprang to mind about Manchester in general were about a train station in Stalybridge and a few comedic songs by Mike Harding, couldn't think of any about actually leaving Manchester.

I did look it up and found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_about_Manchester I'm having problems opening the page though.

Still, it would have to be a shocker of a lifestyle change for the period. A big bucket of money and generous travel arrangements/breaks may help to ease the pain, I suppose...

(Nothing more to say - just wanted to get rid of my 3000th post. Mission accomplished.)

Bur a lot of the avocados (and other fruit and veg) are very tired and soft. Look for the Sharbatly label and you'll get reasonable quality. (It's a girl with a flower basket)(the label)

TV is OK in Saudi, but other sites are a problem if you are on a registered network.

Many thanks for the piccies Ken :D

Got "Broad-Banded" up today, so hopefully will be back on here a bit more often now. It's a sim card in a dongle thingy from a mobile network here in Saudi. Not used one before but the speed seems ok.

I was onna public transportation bus in Derby (east Midlands) on the way into work down Sinfin Lane when I saw a sign above a chip shop: 'FISH - CHIPS - PEAS'. I wondered, what does the two former have to do with the last?

has everything to do...I was an east Midlands newbie...an', people call you 'duck' around there, babble, babble... :o
