Can anybody help me please?

What is the official exchange rate between the Thai Baht and the pound Sterling used at Suan Plu?

I went this morning to check on what documents they require for a Thai Wife visa and when we got to talking about my pension the guy told me that Suan Plu use the rate of 60 Baht to 1 Pound sterling.

When I explained that it had not been that low for the last 7 years since 1997 he said that this was the rate they used.

Is this correct and if not where is the official exchange rate to be found?

Thanks a lot.

I do not know if that is correct but the rate used in not the current market rate I do know. Was 38=$ last I knew. But if marriage visa you can make up any shortfall with your bank deposit here so should still work out for you.

Thanks lopburi.

The guy did say something about 40=1$ which is much closer.

I have just looked at Oanda for currency exchange and it is 41.03 = $ and $1.85 =1GBP.

75.03 = 1 GBP and according to the Nation it was 73.93 = 1GBP and 40.69 = $.

I have no idea where he got the figure of 60 = 1GBP from at all.
