The slowing global economy caused by high oil prices is stalling Bangkok Airways' plan to open new international routes from its second hub on Koh Samui.

The country's largest privately owned carrier now plans to wait and see how the oil prices behave in the rest of this year before deciding on new routes.

They must need the money badly, they now charge for parking in arrivals,Bht 25 first hour.Can't park anywhere else.They spent some money on secure parking , with electronic cards.

I use them for trips to Phuket from Pattaya.

They do have a good service although expensive!

I like there times and it is onlt a 30 min drive from the Airport to Pats.
