Pathuwan Princess Hotel

although central and accessible, the rooms are average and middle of the range. Seemed to be full of Taiwanese package toursits there though.

Very good gym, and excellent 25 metre salt water pool there though.

I never heard of a salt water pool before. Is this new? what benefits does a salt water pool have?

No its not new. I have been going there since 2001. Found it a very good 25 metre lap pool, outside the times when it isn't taken up by Hi-so's who didn't know how to swim and, ahem, blokes checking each other out.

Using salt water means that you don't have to use chlorine. The water (which by no means is as salty as the sea) I reckon is also good for the skin too.

Thai people have a bit of aversion to cholorine too. They reckon it turns your skin black.
