Don't i know it. we really are shit. this is the worst national team for years. We have a lot of good young players. But no one you could say was world calss. Darren Fletcher who plays for Man U is a great prospect. As for the rest. Nothing. As i said a lot of good young players.In time they can maybe improve. Things can only get better. Can they get any worse?

I agree that you have no world class players though I don't think things are so bleak. The main problems seem to ba a defensive mentality installed into the team by Craig Brown, and a recent lack of confidence, obviously caused by Berti Voghts. On the plus side Greece won Euro 2004 in similar circumstances and you have some good managers knocking about.

If you ask me it's about time they started showing that 'Scottish Pride' that we often here about, as it does seem as though Scotland have hit a low point.

Hope things pick up for you, though it may take 5-10 years.

As a Scot by Birth , I agree the team/choice of players is <deleted>. Rangers and Celtic are mainly non-scots , god knows what plan can be formulated , the only way is to put more money and effort into the development of footie in schools and academies.

That said , 77 is a tad harsh.

Get a decent infrastructure sorted , advertise for people who have heard of Loch Ness to apply for a Free family tree with dodgy links to oor willie and we could be halfway there.
