Ukvv - Visa Expiry Date

Hello

Its been a little while since I've been here but I find myself coming back to the trusty old thaivisa.com!

My gf is on her 3rd UK visitor visa. Her visit to the UK has been delayed due to a family death and so we want her return to LOS date to be as close to the visa expiry date as possible.

OK, the expiry date of her visa is Oct 18th but we don't know if that is the date she has to be back in LOS or the date that she has to be out of the UK? Can anyone help?

PS. Just been looking at flights to heathrow from bangkok... what the hel_l is going on with the prices?! If anyone knows of some good deals for travelling out of BKK in the next 2 weeks and return by oct 18th , I'd appreciate it. Cheers

She has to leave before Oct 18th.

Flight prices have gone crazy.

She can actually eek out the visa to 23:59 on 18 October, being the latest by which she has to be in the departures lounge of the UK airport.

My undersatanding based on the above though is...

So long as she is in the departure lounge by the end of the day her visa expires she is OK?
